AU 2012 says, “hold my beer”

The 2012 AU team was the worst football team I’ve ever seen.

The blowout losses were not as bad as they should have been. Richt And Saban literally played not to score after halftime.

The team literally quit except Mason, Wallace and Prosch.

Maybe one or two others.
0-8 in SEC.

Had to have OT to beat LaMo.

A truly putrid team.

I sat through all games until clock ran out.

It was empty except player parents, girlfriends, my son and me. And other teams fans.

A low point that makes almost any team look like the 1973 Dolphins by comparison.

Application denied!
AU 2012 is the worst team in the history of football at any level and at anytime.

Didn't they win 3 games though?

We only managed 2.

No, 1999 South Carolina went 0-11.

I think Vandy went 1-10 in 1990.

1997 South Carolina 1-10
1998 South Carolina 0-11

The modern era is more than a decade old.

Don't forget about 1979 Florida who went 0-10-1 including a 20-10 loss to D2 Tulsa at the swamp.

Bama traveled to G'ville that season and was up 40-0 at the half and Bryant tried to convince the officials to keep a running clock the 2nd half. The Bama starters were taken out after the first qtr.

That may be the worst SEC team I ever saw.

2012 Auburn to me will be the worst team ever. I sat right behind our sideline during the DSOR and I’ve never seen so much quit in a team.

It's definitely the worst Arkansas team I've seen by far.

Mike Irwin says our 1990 team was worse but that was a year before I was born so I have no idea lol. Results from that year don't look as bad as this year to me but oddly enough we have 4 common opponents:

Tulsa W 28–3
Ole Miss L 17–21
Colorado State W 31–20
TCU L 26–54
Texas Tech L 44–49
Texas L 17–49
Houston L 28–62
Rice L 11–19
Baylor L 3–34
Texas A&M L 16–20
SMU W 42–29

It will take a couple of years to wash the stink of Long and Bielema off the football program... at least Morris is trying to recruit us out of this misery.

In the meantime we're focusing on free throws and foul balls...

2017 VOLS and 2012 Auburn were pretty bad, but I can’t imagine any SEC team losing to North Texas 44-17. I mean, Tennessee beat Ga Tech in ATL last year and that team was widely considered a bottom 5 modern era SEC team. I’m sure Vandy or Kentucky has had a team that came close, but they have to be the worst.

EVER.

I was a senior in high school in 1990 so I probably had boys, wine coolers and hairspray on my mind then- but I just can't believe we were worse than now.

We had more wins, but they were of very low quality.

Our losses were, with the exception of LSU and Clemson, were of a titanic nature.

We were truly awful.

Arkansas has some mediocre moments here and there. We were eviscerated multiple times.

AU 2012 was the worst.

This is the worst team Arkansas has ever put on the field. We have never lost 10 games in a season etc.

But, we are far from irrelevant. We had a bad season as we transition from that big pile of shite Bret, but next years recruiting class looks very bright.

Not saying we going to be lights out next year, but we should get back to a minor bowl game as we rebuild this program. So 6 win next season? We will take our 2 SEC teams next year.
