you can’t discount them beating then #6 OU by 3 scores and a top 10 Vandy team.
Also they value quality losses and they lost by 7 to Ohio State. Who you moving ahead of them?
They have a top 10 SOR and SOS too.
Texas has the hardest SOS left in the SEC and have to play @#5 UGA and host #2 A&M.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Beyond that, no clue. Miami and GT should be in the 20s, they would get destroyed by any top 12 team and would lose to most of the top 20.
Well for starters Miami already drug nuts on nd. The game was wrapped before the 3rd ended. So let’s pump the brakes finebaum. It’s not pre portal era anymore the margins between the top 30 and and the top ten have shrank drastically

That was early season Miami, late season Cristobal is garbage football

I'm no Indiana fan but wtf!? If they wore tOSU or Bama jersey's they'd be #1 and they'd be telling us they're the best team ever.
Tejas that high????
Ga Tech at 14?
Want to know why Kiffen or Drink may leave a non blue blood? B/c the game's rigged and it starts with preseason polls that you know 'wink wink' don't mean anything. lol

Meh. It’s all chatter fodder.

Can’t be discarded but if it was the 3rd or 4th OOC game that’s very different than the very first game.
Don’t think you can govern it as much as these current games as the teams have drastically changed and improved

Alabama's ceiling is #4, or should be. No way they are above undefeated teams in B1G or SEC. I kinda feel 4 is too high but they have a H2H win over Georgia which should be 5.

I don't care how you spin it, there is just no way you can make this argument to me.

Texas fans forget they have won last four games by less than 3 points and 3 of the games were vs winless sec teams … game control matters. If Mateer was healthy and you didn’t get the punt return that had 2 clear block in the backs on one play ….. the Anne was a one score game with 7 minutes to go . Texas has zero good ooc wins …. And all their sec wins minus Vandy are from the bottom 3 teams in the sec . Your game control will be your downfall. Not to mention turn losing to a 1-4 team that was fixing to fire its coach .

One of our wins is against you, this year NOT a bottom 3 SEC team. And if you want to talk about "game control" what about dominating a top 10 Vandy 34-10 before taking the gas off too much? Can't have it both ways man.
Our game against you didnt even score a TD, plus Mateer didnt have to play, but he did.
You are right Texas doesnt have a great OOC win given we played cupcakes and the #1 team in the nation and lost. Wish we had played Mich again (like you were able to) would have been a much easier game. Instead we were not afraid to schedule an elite team nad it may end up biting us as we should have just played a Wake Forrest or Purdue and the OOC wouldnt even matter, we would be 8-1

Texas has the most ranked wins in college football the past three years and has appeared in four playoff games. I think they’ll be given some benefit of the doubt with all the talent on the roster, even if it’s young talent. Though have looked absolutely putrid on offense at times this season. I bet if they take care of UGA, the committee will ignore that ever happened.
Posted on 11/4/25 at 2:49 pm to EastTXHorn
But should they be given the benefit of a doubt? Just because of their name and talent? The answer is no if the system isn't corrupt. If they win out - sure. But if they have three losses? Not at all when other conferences have two or less
CFB exists outside the SEC, or at least it should.

Texas should be top 10 since we've actually beaten highly ranked teams.
