They are the most fundamental team but they are not rock stars.

Tennessee-Ohio State is the most recent edition of hubris backfiring.

Would like to see Indiana win but I am not betting on them.

I think Daley being out is going to be a hard thing for Indiana to overcome with a huge talent gap between the two teams.

I’ve seen one poster on here talking shite in favor of Indiana. Unless you’ve gone to their boards, which I’ll admit, I haven’t googled Cignetti, despite his requests for us to do so

Mainly podcasts. But they almost laugh at the thought of Bama winning

Bama has looked pretty awful at times Especially the last month of the season.

Indiana has been much more consistent and proved they could hang with a much more talented in Ohio State. Plus they have stayed relatively healthy compared to Bama

I think it was conceived from so many people acting like OSU was a potential GOAT team this season, and unbeatable, which was pretty dumb.

When Indiana beat them, perhaps those peoples' opinions transferred from OSU to Indiana? idk just spitballin' here.

IU is solid in every phase of the game I don’t see anyone embarrassing them even if I don’t think they win a championship and believe Bama healthy is a serious threat to them.

I haven't visited their sites, so no idea what their fans are saying.

Pundits seem to mostly think Indiana wins in a close game, with a small group predicting a blowout and another small group predicting we upset them.

Has David Ricky, Serraneaux and CigarCigarillo ever recovered from that?

some exerts from a thread I clicked on Hoosier Huddle

quote:

It all comes down to the jimmy and joes, and I don’t see many players on Alabama that would start over our guys. On the offensive side of the ball, not a single one.

We are the big bad bully on the block now. I want IU to cave Alabama in to where DeBoer might seriously get canned, and to the point where Kirk “SEC” can pose the question of if Alabama even belonged on the field as the bubble team

quote:

Man I hope we run over Bama by 30 or more. After all of the staff that are there after they gained initial success in Bloomington; I'd prefer us winning by 40 or more.

quote:

Alabama pass rush could be an issue, but I don’t see any other facet of the game we shouldn’t dominate. Outside of Germie their WRs are unreliable, and their run game is non existent. If we can lay the boom on Simpson, it’s game over for them

quote:

Indiana should be able to put a lot of points on the board. Bama needs to put up 30pts or they lose and I don't see Bama getting more points than Ohio State and Oregon scored, combined.

quote:

That's what I hear. Their 2 best wins were teams they also lost to, Georgia and Oklahoma. Not to mention, the OK win was their 14th game, thats an extra game. ha The rest of the wins were no different than IU beating Iowa and IU did it on the road. Their win vs Vandy and Tenn at home is the tough schedule? Meanwhile IU beat #1, 2 and 21 (none at home) and beat #9 by 53 at home. I don't know how anyone thinks for a second that Bama, or ANY other playoff team had a tougher schedule. Its wild.

quote:

Typically, the team with less weaknesses will win these games. IU has few, if any, true weaknesses, while Alabama has not been able to run the ball against anyone of consequence. Knowing Alabama is one dimensional allows IU the luxury of sending multiple attackers to the QB. Sure, Simpson may scramble and get a few chunk plays off but overall I think IU's defense will have him scrambling all day. And IU will score some points. I'm finished doubting our Hoosiers . . . IU by 14 or more.

quote:

The little QB from Vandy might have a crisis of confidence after the beating Mendoza is about to apply to the tide

This game will look a lot more like the SEC CCG than the B1G CCG. Bama won’t know what hit them. I watched several of their games this year, and they lack the physicality

Unless Ryan Williams remembers how to catch out of the blue, I can’t see this being close. They don’t have the horses on offense

quote:

The bammers are so confident. It's basically the same narrative we heard before the Ohio St game. They forget that Nick Saban isn't their coach and seam to think that it's going to be a blowout on Bama's side. I can't see why. Use that as bulletin board material. Maybe they seam to think that gauntlet of UGA, Mizzou, UT, and Vandy makes them the better team. In the end, only 2 of those teams were any good. Bama has issues running the ball. Cig and Haines will come up with a scheme to limit their passing game while blitzing Simpson many times. I'm hoping for an early pick six and a route of 21+.

quote:

Right, "4 straight ranked wins".....Mizzou, no longer ranked. Tennessee no longer ranked. They squeaked past Georgia, but then got smashed by them. They lost to Florida State and gave Oklahoma an unearned playoff spot by losing to them. Somehow, that is proof they are good but IU beating #2, #5, #21 (currently ranked teams and none at home) is not proof we are good? I hope us smashing them gets them to realize, they're our little bro now.

Wow- reading transcripts from the Hoosiers message board you’d think they been a dynasty forever. New money without the big payoff yet. Very ballsy of them. Let’s see how it works out for them

Alabama definitely has better players based on recruiting rankings but I'm not sure they have the better team.
