It's not make the playoffs or get fired (buyout is hilariously high still), unless he misses the playoff by a lot, but this definitely feels like the make or break season ultimately for his time here. If he cant get it done this year, hard to see it happening next year, although I guess the portal always can quickly change things as always now. With Nuss, the weapons, the massive upgrading done in the portal this offseason, the coaching staff is strong across the board now...really no excuses for this season unless something catastrophic happens like Nuss getting hurt....because I think any LSU fan will tell you yesterday when they heard Nuss might be injured and out for season potentially we just dont have the depth at QB to do much.

We can’t afford the buyout, simple as that.
I do think we’ll make the playoffs and he will not be in the hot seat at the end of this season. I think this team is going to make a run.
That being said, if we come out against Clemson and lose in a shot ourselves in the foot fashion, where the team looks totally lost, making boneheaded mistakes, and BK is in the presser talking about how it’s his fault and he is so angry and needs to coach better and this is all on him, you can bet your last dollar we are all going to be fking fuming

There is a very real shot they are 1-2 through 3 weeks.
Clemson returns a ton of experienced talent, is playing at home, and could be the best team in the country. I doubt the last one, but its possible.
Florida might be better on both lines than LSU is, and probably has a better QB if he is healthy. Not many teams will have an advantage against LSU on both sides of the line of scrimmage like Florida will.
it wouldn't be completely out of left field if they were 2-4 through six. That isn't something I would predict or expect, I think LSU will be very good this year. But even with having 2 creampuffs early its pretty tough out the jump for them.

An LSU fan making fun of someone for losing four games. BK isn’t the only funny guy. LSU has lost four or more games four of the last five seasons. Do with that information what you must, which probably means you pay another buy out.

Why do fans bring this up? BK can win 4 games he will be retained. DeBoer can go 0-12 and he will be retained. LSU isn’t paying $50 million to fire BK and Alabama isn’t paying 60 million to fire DeBoer!
