Imagine it’s 2026 and your team is still in the Big XII.

And then realize your team still can’t compete.

As in decades of cuckery.

And the depression gets worse when you look around and all you see is kansas ugly.

Is this not the exact same situation Mizzou is in, but they are in the SEC? At least Kansas has basketball

The Missouri Tigers had a Big 12 football record of 62 wins and 62 losses during their time in the conference from 1996 to 2011

It's not too late to send Mizzou back to the Big XII.

I think if we kept Mizzou and sent back Texas to the XII, it would take less than ten years for Texas Tech to surpass Texas in just about every metric.

There’s a lot of terrible takes on this board, this might be one of the worst and it isn’t even close.

In your scenario Texas goes back to the big 12 and then loses to tech in “about every metric”

If you are talking all sports that’s a joke as we are one of the best athletic departments already facing superior conference competition in the SEC.

If toy are talking the big 3 men’s sports baseball that will never happen, maybe basketball but with Sean miller in place and additional nil aligned with a new arena that’s highly unlikely.

That leaves football. There is no world Texas would let Cody Campbell and tech surpass them in this nil era. Techs resources are nothing compared to Texas. Also if Texas is back in the big 12 it’s a cakewalk to the playoffs every year

The year after we last did and that’s all I’m gonna say.

Maybe, but your recruiting Arch, getting all these 5 star Texas and southeast high schoolers isn’t perhaps because you’re in the SEC? Don’t think even with your money these players would have come to Texas if still in Big 12.

That’s absolutely fair and I agree, that’s one big reason why we made the move.

So it’s an easier cakewalk to the playoffs but to we wouldn’t be battle tested or have the talent. I choose the harder path much more fun
