The only National Title Game that I didn't watch was the year that they chose 2 SEC Teams to play each other.
The playoff committee literally predetermined that the National Champion would be an SEC Team.
This years 12 team playoff destroyed the myth of SEC supremacy.

I think a lot of fans become not interested when their teams no longer have an opportunity to play for NC. This is how the other conf felt for a long time while the sec was in it every year. The portal and NiL certainly haven’t done viewership any favors but let’s not act like Texas isn’t taking full advantage of it.
