You’re easily impressed. Neither look that stout and especially Tech.

In Tech’s defense they are being hurt by the layoff. The bowl games have always been about which team does a better job on the 3-4 week layoff.

They have a good defense

Offense wasn’t tested…

What we're seeing here is two programs that went all in buying players.

Phil Knight is getting up there in years and wants to see his ducks hoist the trophy while he's still around.

West Texas oilmen decided to cut down on the hookers and blow and see if they can buy a championship for the biggest in-state program West of Fort Worth.

Not sure it works out for either of them (definitely won't for one) this year, but at least they gave the fanbases playoff games.

Yes, he's a moron, the other team is on life support, punt them deep, instead he goes on 4th and 2. Without all the Tech turnovers this would by like 3-0

Modern coaches have no understanding of game management.

People were giving me shite weeks ago when I told them I didn't think Texas Tech was legit and that they would throw a bunch of interceptions against better teams.

Not really surprised by this result.

There sure were a ton of Texas / A&M posters on here talking Tech up like they were a legit contender.

Texas Tech has good football players

Teams like Oregon have better athletes - who happen to play football

The offense is worst I’ve seen, the defense is amazing.

Texas lost to Ohio State and Florida. I'm pretty sure Texas Tech is no worse than equal to Texas.

They're good. But not national championship good.

They only have 21 blue chip players on their roster.

Compare that to UGA (70), Bama (64), Oregon (58) or Miami (45).

Ole Miss is below the blue chip ratio of 50%, but they still have 36 blue chips.

Depth of talent goes a long way.
