Carey hasnt won more than 8 games in a season since 2014 when he was riding the coattails of Dave Doeren
If he cant win more than 8 in the MAC or AAC what makes you think he can do it in the SEC

Their last 4 HCs (not including Manny Diaz who was HC for all of two weeks before he bolted to Miami) have all been hired by P5 schools. In order it went Al Golden to Miami, Steve Addazio to Boston College, Matt Rhule to Baylor, and Geoff Collins to Georgia Tech. The majority of his players were either recruited under Geoff Collins or Matt Rhule.
I would look more at his 6 years at Northern Illinois before he got to Temple.
