I realize what he knew came out after he was hired as DC of OSU. But if I was an alumni of that prestigious university ... I’d want him gone. But then look who we are talking about

The former QB coach at PSU that started talking said that when he reported it to Bradley in PSU administration, he was told of Schiano having a similar story. Said he walked into his office white as a ghost and told Bradley what he saw. QB coach didn't know what come of anything after that.

I just can't even wrap my head around this decision from Currie's perspective. How could any adult with a functioning brain think this hire would be well-received?

There's no proof he knew about Sandusky. It was an accusation by McQueary (and you can't trust a ginger).

What’s the evidence against him?

Former Penn State assistant coaches Greg Schiano and Tom Bradley knew that Jerry Sandusky, their colleague on Joe Paterno’s football staff, was acting improperly with young boys years before law-enforcement authorities were first notified, according to testimony from former Penn State assistant Mike McQueary that was unsealed Tuesday by a Philadelphia court.

McQueary, who testified in Sandusky’s 2012 criminal case that he had told Paterno of seeing Sandusky rape a boy in 2001, said in the 2015 deposition that he had “briefly” discussed with Bradley what he had seen.

“He said another assistant coach had come to him in the early ’90s about a very similar situation to mine, and he said that he had — someone had come to him as far back as early as the ’80s about seeing Jerry Sandusky doing something with a boy,” McQueary said.

According to McQueary, Bradley identified Schiano, now the Ohio State defensive coordinator, as the other assistant. In response to a question about whether Bradley had shared details of what Schiano had said, McQueary related a conversation with Bradley.

“No,” McQueary replied, according to the documents, “only that he had — I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning — but that Greg had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower. And that’s it. That’s all he ever told me.”

McQueary added that he didn’t know whether Bradley, now UCLA’s defensive coordinator, had reported the incident, which he said happened in “like 2005, ’06; it could have been anywhere in there.”

According to McQueary, he and Bradley discussed their frustration with the level of access Sandusky had to Penn State facilities. “Tom was kind of a — yeah, he would be upset and frustrated about that, like I was,” McQueary said.

Schiano denied the allegation, telling ESPN’s Adam Schefter: “I never saw any abuse nor had reason to suspect any abuse during my time at Penn State.”

Amen.

Run that guy out of town on a rail before he even gets there. And then run the frickers out who thought it was a good idea in the first place.

That's a good view to have. Question, since it appears the AD and administration were OK with this hire, doesn't that show that they are willing to turn a blind eye to this and the only reason this hire may not happen is because of the fans? Even if they end up not hiring Schiano they've already proven that they're ok with him.

I don't know how anyone who has spent 5 minutes in Knoxville or met a single UT fan could think this hire would be met with anything but widespread fury.

How can you be so tone deaf?

HE (ALLEGEDLY) COVERED UP FOR A PEDOPHILE. My god.

Someone in the Athletic department leaked the Schiano meeting to Dan Wolken. Virtually everyone in the AD was against Schiano, except Currie, several boosters came out this morning saying they refused to sign off on it.

No way Currie survives this.

Great to see y'all taking a stand against this creep.

I sincerely applaud the Tennessee fanbase, and hope to read that your AD has been fired soon.

Yes but that’s third party in a deposition. It wouldn’t even be admissible in a trial. And the DA never followed up on it.
In fact, the ginger QB coach and Schiano were never employed at PSU at the same time. It was the ginger recalling a conversation he had with Bradley.

That said, I wouldn’t want him near Bama.

Vols&shaft, won’t lie you’ve pissed me off in the past with the whole fat racist redneck rambles, but I’m gaining respect for Vols fans for speaking out about this. Ohio State didn’t get blasted enough for hiring him because it was just as a coordinator. But no clue how you can trust kids to learn to be men under a guy with these kinds of morals. Hopefully he gets scared off and UT is able to make a better hire. I don’t want UT to be good, but the fans and alums deserve someone they can actually root for and Schiano is not that.

So it's hearsay that has taken this man down. It's hardly proof.

That’s correct. The SEC rant is filled with SJW’s quick to pounce on an unsupported allegation. Who knew?
