I'm doubling down on not just moving the SEC Championship game from Atlanta, but also HQ

The SEC West in 2024 now has far more people than the SEC East (not counting South Florida for UF as it doesn't belong to be counted).

The center of population for the whole conference is highly likely somewhere near Shreveport in 2024. The geographic center is probably between Monroe/Jackson now. Let's get some North Louisiana citizens running the offices and see how Bama reacts when LSU starts a run with BK. "Ope HQ called in to get that call reversed."

IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE. OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW.

If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.

You mean a major source of enrollment at one of the SEC’s largest universities? You mean the area that employs tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of SEC grads?

What delegitimizes South FL as part of the SEC footprint in your sagacious opinion? Great wealth, urbanization, immigrants, influx of people from throughout the country? You know, the South is now the fastest growing region of the country. Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Charlotte, Nashville, etc. reflect many of the same characteristics that render South FL “unSouthern” in your asinine opinion.

The South isn’t backwoods rednecks. That’s you.

No, we’re not moving the SEC Championship game because why the frick wouldn’t you count South FL as part of Florida. Moron.

“It doesn’t belong to be counted.” Jesus, you’re an idiot.

Louisiana was one of the only Southern states to lose population since last census. We’re not moving shite to Louisiana. Shreveport does not represent the best of the South lol

We need to move everything; the offices, the championships, media days, all of it; to the Cape Verde Islands. Just end this bullshite once and for all. Make it fair for everyone.

Move all SEC championship events and front office to Shreveport. Replace Sugar Bowl with Independence Bowl as top bowl bid.

Do you want this whole gambling thing to get worse with football coaches betting against their players too? Have coaches sit their starters hoping they can lose to maybe play in the Birmingham Bowl?

It’s a slippery slope.

No.

The masses don’t go to the headquarters so population density is irrelevant.

The title game in Atlanta is fine. Maybe, maybe when Nashville gets its new stadium we can look at rotating between Atlanta and Nashville. But until then there is no other central spot to do it.

With the addition of Texas and OU, could throw in Jerry’s World or Superdome

The entire premise falls apart in the first sentence. There is no SEC East or West.

LSU fan here. The offices and the championship game are two different things.
I like the idea of rotating the championship game.
Atl, NO, Nashville, Jacksonville (new stadium will be sick) Dallas/Houston
If you connected those cities into a square on the map they would hit basically corners of the new SEC.
The offices have staff with families. I do think there should be a little oversight and it seems like things do go certain ways.
I don’t see moving it out of bham though. Not good to uproot everyone. Basically anywhere they go people will complain there is home cooking.

UGA fans have been more than happy to travel in large numbers to opposing teams’ venues for games, and that has mitigated home field advantage several times; the location isn’t an advantage if the fan numbers are similar.

Is the concern that your fans can’t travel far?

Nobody gives a damn what you're doubling down on. You are in the Southeastern Conference, not the Southwest. Yall couldn't run a conference but down, so no you need to sit over there and STFU. That goes to all you coattail riders.

Why the would they move the SEC championship game out of Atlanta? It’s a perfect setting for the game. The stadium is badass (can have open or closed roof option) - the College Football Hall of Fame is basically across the street. There are unlimited entertainment options and great hotels near by. By far the cheapest airline tickets considering has the best airport on the world. No other city in any SEC state is close to being as good as Atlanta at hosting this event.

OU fans would certainly be happy if the game could rotate to DFW. But it won't be long until Texas fans and admin will be demanding it (an SEC championship game in Texas). Because you know, they're Texas.
