Yup. Because he isn’t some random fan on a message board.

This is all a game of PR chess.

OP... why don’t you tell everyone who you are?

How so? What exactly do the FEDS have to gain from this? The FEDS have no interest in Wade. He has broken no federal laws.

The Feds aren’t interested in and have never been interested in Wade. They don’t care about Will Wade or LSU.

The defense is, though. They’re strategically leaking what they want out there prior to the trial and trying to get maximum exposure for things that might possibly not be allowed in the trial (like it wasn’t allowed in the first trial).

Exactly, but the info they are gathering about what he said can be used by the NCAA. That is LSU's biggest problem.

So the defense is the ones throwing the coaches/schools under the bus? It really doesn't matter who or how the info is being leaked. It is info the FEDS have obtained and the NCAA is letting the FEDS do their work for them.

Oh absolutely LSU will have an NCAA issue on its hands down the road. The problem is the NCAA doesn’t have any of the stuff yet, they got denied by the court. NCAA is compeletely separate process from the current happenings, and they pretty much have to wait til this is all over.

Right now there’s only 2 parties in this thing... FBI/US vs Dawkins. Govt says all this LSU/Arizona/Kansas/Duke stuff is irrelevant to the case at hand. Defense wants it all out there and is trying to make a spectacle of it. Forde is one of the tools they’re using...He’s eating it up like a fat kid with cake.

The next trial starts in April, which is why things are starting to leak out ahead of it. It’s all so predictable.

quote:

Dawkins faces another bribery trial in April

quote:

a second trial slated for April and potentially featuring Arizona coach Sean Miller as a star witness promises to be a “street fight,” according to defense attorney Steve Haney

quote:

Asked how many coaches might take the stand in April, Haney said, “As many as I can get in the courtroom. In the second trial, we’re going to pull back the curtain.”

You’re seeing the “street fight” play out real time in this thread and in the media

Nobody but LSU fans are saying that. You people act like people are picking on you. Like I have stated numerous times today.........this is not the ending. It's just the beginning.

There will be so many schools caught up in it, the NCAA will have to do something about it. If they don't, they will look as corrupt as the schools buying players.

ETA This may still be going on a year or two from now.

This is rich coming from an Auburn fan. They had Cam Newtons father saying that he was shopping his son for a commitment to play football. Nothing happened.

OP obviously has some info. I’d like chicken to run the IP too, would be hilarious if it’s Forde or One of the yahoo writers. Wouldn’t surprise me either.

Very obvious what is going on and JPLSU is spot on.

LSU will continue to take brunt of bad PR until an info dump on a blue blood hits (e.g. Kansas, Duke, UK)

BS. They had a former State player, who was a runner for an agent, come to Cecil and tell him he thought he could get money for Cam AT STATE. Like John Bond said from the very beginning........"this is a State issue".

ETA You paid way too much attention to the ATPB thread.......which turned out to be a total farce. The FEDS got involved in that too. Let's see how this one turns out.

You're suspect. I thought it was odd that a UCLA fan popped up on the Rant a week or so ago. We never see that unless LSU is playing UCLA in something (baseball postseason).

BTW, nice 40 in your handle.

Documents related to the NCAA's investigation released in November 2011 indicated Cecil Newton and Rogers sought between $120,000 and $180,000 for Cam Newton to sign with Mississippi State. Newton instead signed with Auburn in February 2010.

AL.com

So do you honestly believe that Cecil Newton was asking for $100,000+ from State but Cam went to Auburn for free? All I'm saying what they have on Wade is very similar to what they had on Cam and his dad.

Do think players got paid? Yep. I'm happy they got paid. Everyone always says "oh look how much money these universities make and the players get none". Well look the players are getting paid. So which way do you want it?

I think if State had come up with the money, he would have played for State.

The FEDS investigated it for months. The NCAA spent 13 months investigating it. Auburn was found not to have had anything to do with any wrongdoing. It is what it is.

Give it up.

All you had to say was "yes, I believe that Cecil Newton was asking for $100,000+ from State but Cam went to Auburn for free."
