I was talking to the Barner who claimed the FBI and NCAA said sCam wasn't paid to play at Auburn. They absolutely did not say that.

The NCAA said it found no major violations committed by Auburn regarding Cam Newton or other pay-for-play allegations and has concluded multiple investigations of the football program.

The NCAA released a statement Wednesday saying it has closed its 13-month investigation into Auburn's recruitment of the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback,

Thurnes said NCAA enforcement staff and the university conducted more than 50 interviews into whether Newton was paid to sign with Auburn and examined documents including bank records, tax filings and phone and email records.

this is not the ending. It's just the beginning. There will be so many schools caught up in it, the NCAA will have to do something about it. If they don't, they will look as corrupt as the schools buying players.

It’s not going to end with just basketball either. This shite been a long time comin and it’s gonna take everybody down or the NCAA will just have to say “frick it” and let players get paid in the open.

That is a possibility. They really just stumbled into this basketball mess. It all depends on how much money/resources the FEDS decide is worthwhile. Most people probably realize the scale of corruption in football would be mind blowing

Exactly. Because they do not like to take risk.

No it’s because they don’t indict until you’re already fricked. Had a law school professor that was a former federal public defender. He says it was the most thankless job of his career because the only option his clients ever had was to take a plea or get hammered at trail. Just look at the case file report the feds have in this case. They have 313 days worth of phone calls from Dawkins, over 4000 calls. Wade is on 3 of them. Can you imagine how many others they have? Dawkins already knows he’s screwed and always has. But he’s obviously pissed and wants to take everyone else down with him. If you think the feds are worried about getting a conviction in this case, you’re mistaken. Think about it. We all saw what was released on Wade, and the Feds thought so little of the relevance of his testimony that they didn't even subpoena him to testify. Knowing that, what do you think they do have that is more relevant?

There’s also a protective order in place on all this evidence. I would highly doubt the feds would be the party to violate that order. They have no reason to in the first place.

We are going to hear about the wild back and forth bidding between Kentucky and LSU for Javonte Smart? Can’t wait.

f you really believe that is the only issue in this FBI wiretapping, you are an idiot. There's a lot more teams and coaches involved, and it goes a lot further than the SEC.

Chizik never discussed offering strong arse deals, or tilting his offer too heavily towards Cam & his mom/dad, or not giving the runner a big enough piece of the pie.

Is that wrong? Should he have not done that? He'll have to plead ignorance here...
