So, eliminate football, football recruiting, or spring football practice...

I wouldn't get rid of any sport , but I do wish the SEC would add more 2nd tier sports like baseball. Soccer and lacrosse could be just as exciting and draw and make as much as any of the current tier 2 sports like baseball.

Spring football.

Keep football and basketball.

2 of the 3 majors would be ok.

We would miss the spring game, but it would work ok.

Damn son. Terrible thread. College baseball is awesome. I can't wait for our stadium to be redone.

Eliminate basketball. Universities are just footing the bill for an NBA minor league at this point. It's a filthy business run by shoe companies, select squads, and "handlers" who don't need our money, so why do we continue to pay for everything?

I would eliminate baseball for sure.

Baseball isn't a big 3. The big 3 are:

Football
Men's Basketball
Women's Basketball

Baseball is in the same group as olympic sports, softball, and lacrosse.

Baseball.

I love baseball, always have. But, it is the least interesting of the big 3 at the college level.

Between MLB and the breadth of its farm system and other amateur leagues/teams around the country, college baseball would be missed the least imo.

Florida had a more difficult SOS in-conference or we would have won the SEC outright too.

Road series at Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas and Mississippi State (who, along with LSU, were the top 5 teams in the final SEC standings) say hello.

Basketball. The one and done rule has ruined it as a college sport.

Baseball's national championship is broadcast on ESPNU and the highlights are lucky to get on SportsCenter

This is false. It is broadcast on ESPN every year, and there's also an entire ESPN channel dedicated to it during tournament time called "Bases Loaded."

We all know baseball isn't a money making sport for the majority of schools across the nation. But I will never understand the people who get upset that others enjoy it. I've lived in the northeast for the past few years, and never once have I felt the need to blast people who enjoy college hockey, which gets way less coverage from ESPN, by the way.

Spring football would be my vote. Need fall football for the money. I really don't care about Basketball, but the tournament is entertaining.

Basketball. Three reasons:

1) nobody tailgates for basketball

2) a larger number of college athletes get to participate in baseball programs than basketball programs, so it gives more student athletes opportunities to play and earn scholarships

3) baseball is more competitive.
