MLB needs to give NCAA an allowance for wood bats since they’re going to be developing all of their talent.

Make it happen.

No more aluminum.

How long will it be before MLB teams take over the NIL for certain programs & just use them as farm clubs?

I can’t see that happening. Could you imagine Moo U being the farm team for the Marlins, who don’t spend money?

Teams like OU? lol They’re loaded with MLB talent and have a good NIL program. wtf

If this happens it’s less likely the eleventh best team in the SEC will make a run to the CWS finals

Sounds like major league baseball wants to get out of minor league baseball altogether

Independent baseball gonna thrive

With the portal and draft eligibility after sophomore year, the roster turnover will be absolutely insane every year.

I wouldn't mind this if they kept it as you're eligible if you turn 21 before a certain date.

Man the MLB really is financially in trouble to be cutting back that bad. Sounds like the minor league system is too big for them.

It’s more the vets want to continue to be paid more and more. This is the only way

considering lsu has the number 1 class before we get hit with the draft nearly every year,I think it would help us as much as anyone. without looking im pretty sure lsu has had the number 1 class as much or more than anyone over the last 26 years

Maybe they should also try not pushing gay propaganda.

Hard to understand why they do it, because they're basically targeting 12mil people. 9% of the total population identifies as gay, and roughly 40% of gays consider themselves serious sports fans. But you risk losing or alienating 34million fans (of their total of 71 million fans) that identify as conservative.

No one cares about this niche sport anyway.

Who cares?

TBH, the only thing more useless than college baseball polls are college baseball recruiting rankings

its especially useless with the draft format now. you never know who you will get to campus. top classes if the new rule passes would at least give you a good idea the talent youre getting on average

The number 1 pick in the draft last year was an OU commit. We lost Bobby Witt Jr a few years back. We lose just as much as anyone to the draft out of high school.

In the past it was all based on which coaches were willing to even take a chance on a top HS prospect.
I think Sully at Florida was the first to start getting sure-fire 1st rounders to campus
