Obviously Bama is a great job. And Bama does have a nice collective. But I think NIL will gradually make Bama a less desirable job. Still a good job, but not a top job.
I think the SEC moving forward over the next two decades will be led by the large public universities in the bigger SEC states. Texas is the second largest state by population, Florida is third, Georgia is 8th.
All of these schools are very competitive academically and attract thousands top students who go on to have successful careers. This opens up the opportunity to build larger collectives. I think UGA, Texas, and Florida (if they ever find a competent coach) will dominate moving forward.

He's still essentially playing with Saban's recruits, yes?

Alabama would be in a position to pull Lanning which is scary

I don’t think Lanning would leave Oregon in the NIL era for Bama.

Texas and aTm has had "money" their entire existence including years under the NIL/ portal landscape and have not "dominated". Simpy have the most money doesn't guarantee domination or even success. Ultimately people make programs what they are. Nick and Bear Bryant are prime examples, there were other schools who could pay more and provide more resources but Alabama was still able to hire them. Life doesn't always setup to where money has the type of impact we think it will.

Three of thebest offensive players are from Washington. Ty Simpson is the only Saban player that is making a big impact offensively. DeBoer knows how to recruit but more importantly develop.

Maybe, maybe not, but he knows deep down his odds of winning Oregons FIRST National Championship is very slim, even with their NIL.
School likes Bama increases that by a ton.

Time will tell. But I've lived long enough and been involved in many sectors of life that "money" was assumed to be the ace in the hole and in every case "money" did not end up playing as big of a role in the outcomes as predicted. But we'll see...

Thanks for the clarification. I don't know much about the dude.

No one is pulling Lanning out of Eugene. The Nike stock-based portion of his compensation is too valuable to give up.

I don't understand this DeBoer to Penn State talk.
It's easy to understand when you accept that it's rumors and online reporters make stories.
I don't follow this like all the obsessed people here but I doubt there's one legitimate source that can tie Penn State to an actual offer to debust.
