I mean, if he cared about academics, he would probably keep Missouri.
Mizzou is ranked 7th out of the 16 SEC schools by US News and it is one of six AAU schools in the SEC.

He’s just doing his job.
His job is the problem. CFB is running very fast to collective bargaining

Uga Alum roots for the best team in the SEC and still melts all over this board on a daily basis. Sad.

Sankey is an employee who does what the institutions tell him to do.
So many people don't understand this.

Sankey cares about money, brands, academic prestige, and long-term viability. This means that he would eliminate all schools from the state of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri. He would also replace Cocky with Clemson.
So you want to destroy the strongest overall athletic conference in America for one sport because that’s the only sport your school doesn’t suck at? Maybe your school should get better at other sports or get out.

Then we’ll move to the most stable option. It’s what we do.
That is very well put. That IS what y’all do.

I think there are only 5 Association of American Universities schools in the SEC...
Florida
Missouri
Texas
Texas A&M
Vanderbilt
Regarding the original posters point about money... Missouri is home to the 24th (StL) and 32nd (KC) media markets in the country. (this might differ a bit depending on source/timeframe studied). I feel like this was the biggest factor in inviting Mizzou to come along with A&M.

No offense but Snakey cares not a hill of beans for A&M. We would be left out if he had his way

Notre Dame is to scared to join the SEC.

That would be a badass conference.

The urban legend is that UF's president at the time (who is/was from Missouri) wouldn't stop bugging Slive about inviting Mizzou so they were invited to shut him up.

You post about Mississippi, in one form or another, a lot.

I’m hoping he didn’t have some sort of deliverance experience there. He seems awfully jaded. Fine folks of Mississippi just wanna live and let live

Is that why you never won the Big 12, too?
Ever heard of the 5th down?
Kicked ball when we play DUHbraska?
Yep, but not all we have to worry about is Tech. We'd be the one getting the calls. lol

The SEC and B1G will eventually leave the rest of college football behind. If Missouri leaves the SEC or gets kicked out, do you think the B1G will extend an invite?
No they'd rather have Rutgers.

That will be the death of college football.

And you gaytors believe it?
We were going to the Big 10. The Big 10 tried to slow play Mizzou then the SEC called courting lil ol mizzou to join the SEC.
