lol Burrow is better than Tua.

Tua play worse against better teams. Burrow plays better. But think what you will.

Coming to the Rant proves how immature you are.

What an ignorant statement. This is a different defense than the injury ridden defense that showed up against Ole Miss.

Even national CFB pundits don't understand that Maurice Hampton was still out with a hand and Grant Delpit battled through a sprained knee. The LSU D was hurting because the safety position was hurting. A few things happen simultaneously that helped to improve the LSU D drastically the last three games:

1. They got healthy. Delpit and Hampton are playing at 100% and Hampton is showing better run stopping ability than Delpit. He is a really good athlete.

2. K'Lavon Chaisson is coming into his own. He has gotten better and better each week. At the beginning of the season he was looking like a late third or early fourth rounder. Now he's playing like a late first or early second rounder. Chaisson's play has steadily improved over the season and is peaking at the right time.

3. Tyler Shelvin's play is peaking at the right time. The dude is healthy and simply locking the center of the DL down. He is unblockable one on one right now. He needs to be double teamed which frees up this teammates.

4. Kary Vincent's play has steadily improved over the season. He is taking better angles.

5. Stingley and Fulton continue to lock down the boundary. Their play has not dropped off. In fact Fulton's play has improved because he is playing 100% healthy now.

6. The emergence of freshman has been really helpful and a nice lift. I already mentioned Maurice Hampton but Marcel Brooks has been great.

7. The defense appears to have learned Aranda's zone concepts. Teams were finding the space in our zone defense way too easy early in the season. IMO this is a common growing pain when trying to learn zone concepts because sometimes defenders get mentally caught in no-man-land and think the other guys is responsible. All the experimentation with the zone defense early in the season by Aranda is now paying dividends.

8. LB play has improved. Early in the season it seemed as if Queen and Stevens were getting washed out a lot and some teams were getting chunk yardage. That hasn't happened since the OM game. The LB's are playing at a much higher level as they should because this is a very talented LB group.

I think this is actually the biggest key.

If their defense didn't get gashed a lot this season, sure.
Sorry but '95 Nebraska is the GOAT followed by 01 Miami.

I have lived over half a century and they are the best LSU team I have ever seen, and about as complete team as any I have watched play. They have a great plan and a great QB. Burreaux is a beast. I have respect for Dabo and what he has done at Clemson, but my money is on the real Tigers this game, and by real Tigers I mean the ones from the Bayou.

Yes this team would go down as The GOAT if they win.

"Dominating" is always subjective. This team capped a perfect regular season (never trailing in the 4th quarter) by winning the SECCG and their playoff vs 2 top 5 teams by an average of 31 points. If that is not dominating enough for you, you are an idiot.

You can make cases for other teams being more dominant perhaps but the resume though is undeniable by anyone that is remotely intelligent (that excludes a lot of you). That is why though many in the committee may have thought tOSU was "better", they couldn't deny the #1 seed. Add potentially breaking Clemson’s 28 game winning streak to already breaking Bama’s 31 home winning streak. Best team ever.

Every Bama fan ITT, and on this site, was saying their 2018 team was going to be the best ever at this point last year.

The stats for 2019 LSU and 2018 Bama are very similar. Bama's defense was a little bit better, but LSU's offense this year is better. Weird how the defense is what will hold LSU back though.

The defense is good when healthy. Not only are they a great team their timing is spot on - getting better every week it seems like.

This LSU team is the best I can remember and certainly the best of the playoff era. Brady transformed Burrow into a monster. Insane how different their offense looks this year compared to last. I also think their defense is better than they’re given credit for. Pretty sure they had some injuries early, but they progressed once they got healthy. Because LSU scores so much they give the opposition a ton of possessions, which lets them put up meaningless points/yards. The fact they scored 9 touchdowns on 11 possessions against OU is crazy. Probably the best game I’ve seen an offense play.

Whenever you are scoring in 2 minutes and giving the ball back to the other team over and over again, they are eventually going to score. It happens.

If LSU dismantles Clemson by 21+ pts, no doubt.

If victorious by more modest levels, they are in the discussion.

It's amazing what an offense can do when they are taught to take what the defense is giving them.

The easiest example is when Jefferson plays the slot position. In this situation both Jefferson and Burrow read the safety pre and post snap. If the safety is playing inside to take away the slant Jefferson just runs an out where the WR on the boundary runs a deep rout and clears the way for Jefferson. If the safety plays outside to take away the out route Jefferson just slants inside to the space.

The WRs and Burrow are all on the same page communicating without saying a word or making a signal. Their queues are simply based on the defense.

This is next level stuff and you don't see much of it in CFB. It takes a lot of practice. College football players are only allowed to work 20 hours per week but Burrow and the WRs are given homework and worked many more hours per week over the summer and Sundays during the season. They put in the work. It just didn't magically happen.

In terms of strength of schedule, they would be the GOAT. LSU will have played 11 bowl teams. If they end up winning, they will be the first to beat five 11+ win teams in a season. I believe only one other team has beaten four 11+ win teams. They also would be the first to have beaten seven top 10 teams (I don't think anyone has even beaten six top 10 teams before). And Texas would be the only one that isn't currently in the top AP top 10.

Right, because the two teams are mirror images....

I mean, a banged up Tua = the greatest Heisman winner of all time......amirght?

Besides, how's Clemson gonna get those dlinemen to play cinsdering they're in the league now?

So many questions, Booty Sweat.
