I'm sure they'd offer Jim Harbaugh. Don't know that he'd accept, but he'd probably get them to a few playoff appearances. Not sure I'm really afraid of going against Harbaugh like everyone else seems to be.

I could see them going after Kiffin, Smart, or Chad Morris.

But Les isn't leaving LSU.

Because LSU is unquestionably a top 10 job in the country.

Why shouldn't we try to bring in the best of the best. You can win multiple National Titles at LSU.

Aggot, I loved living in Baton Rouge. Very fun town. College Station is so bad even Johnny Football left every chance he got his last year. Go back to your milkmen porn.

LSU is a better job than Michigan.

Because it's not reality. Yes, LSU is a great job, but y'all sound like Texas fans...and look who they ended up with. Unless college coaches fail in the NFL, they aren't coming back. The only reason y'all got Cam was because he was fired.

I am sure JH would leave Palo Alto, take a pay cut, to live in Baton Rouge or Ann Arbor

Miles has been a good coach, but the game has passed him by. He is not adapting and in the SEC, you set the pace, adapt, or you move on.
you guys are overreacting. There are great packages, blitz, and double move routes in LSUs play book. He just didn't think any of it was needed because you were playing Miss St.

Quit trying to give credence to Landmass schools. Sure Les screwed up by staying with a failed gameplan, but on the other hand he didn't reveal anything either.

Both Mississippi schools are still Mississippean, however.

Ummm, the post wasn't started by an LSU fan and the responses have come from everyone with all manner of humor, sarcasm and wishful thinking intertwined. You think A&M is the only school that can pay enough to allow an incoming coach to ignore some imperfections?

So you're saying that if you were the AD at LSU, and Miles left to go to Michigan, you wouldn't even TRY to get Jim Harbaugh to replace him because it's "not realistic"? Are you shitting me right now?

If you're in the right place at the right time with the right coach it can happen. Look at Alabama. They were left for dead in 2006. A has been program that people put in the same category as Notre Dame. If they had fired Shula a year earlier or a year later, they would almost certainly still be there right now. If Saban had signed Drew Brees instead of Dante Culpepper, they'd probably still be there right now. But the stars aligned and they hit a home run. That's how it works.

As long as you're in a certain strata, coaching hires are largely about timing and general competence from your school's leadership. LSU is unquestionably in that top strata in which the best coaches can come in and win at the highest level.

So yes, to stress it one more time, you're dumb.
