Me a Democrat? Not in a million years. I do however care deeply about the poor- especially children.
Go research who is administering Louisiana's Medicaid dollars these days. You will find they are companies in states like Florida. Ask any pediatrician, or NICU admin, or home health provider...

Jindal has made it far more difficult to provide healthcare to the poor in this state, and deserves no "kudos". What he has done to Louisiana Medicaid is shameful and self-serving....

In Louisiana, Medicaid dollars are largely used to take care of sick children. The wetlands are very important. But I think the money is going to the correct place....

Capitalism and Socialism are both products of the European "enlightenment" and as such they are both poor and injust models.
I am a believer in Distributism as the best economic philosophy, at least theoretically.
The focus should be on property ownership for everyone instead of corporatocracy...
