I know nothing about the Tigers’ backup QB situation, but this feels like the script the football gods would write.

I fully suspect it.
And since you are an Alabama fan, I've seen it countless times, to the point where it is a joke within my friend group. Alabama has had so many stars go down in a game against Ole Miss, only to have the backup come in and have the game of his life against us.

Leavitt will be playing. When Lane made his return to Knoxville as the OM head coach he ruled Matt Corral as Doubtful the week of the game. I think he rushed for ~150 yards in Neyland that night.

Clark was FCS, not D2. Chambliss was D2. A difference, but probably not that big of one.

Well Vegas didn’t move the line. They either know Lane is full of shite or that there’s really not that big of a fall off with our backup.
I think I could play QB and throw for 400 yards against OM’s secondary the way it’s looked the first 2 weeks.

Clark has looked good as a backup, but it's asking a lot for him to have make his first start on the road in the SEC.
