re: If Leavitt really is out, it’s going to be so funny if his backup is Chambliss 2.0.

I like his play so far. He fits in the scheme of the offense very well. Great arm as well. He could have a meltdown his first time on the big stage, you just never know until the moment. But he is very talented

Wrong. Longstreet never attended South Carolina.

And since you are an Alabama fan, I've seen it countless times, to the point where it is a joke within my friend group. Alabama has had so many stars go down in a game against Ole Miss, only to have the backup come in and have the game of his life against us.
I don't remember this happening. Got any examples?

No, Leavitt is not out, and I seriously doubt Golding is stupid enough to fall for this trick.

No. 7 LSU surprisingly lists QB Sam Leavitt as 'doubtful' for highly anticipated clash against No. 8 Ole Miss
Quarterback Sam Leavitt was listed as doubtful by coach Lane Kiffin. SEC injury reports do not require teams to list a reason for a player's injury, and it was not publicly known that Leavitt was injured after the Tigers' Week 2 win over Louisiana Tech.
Per multiple reports, Leavitt has been limited in practice so far this week. However, ESPN reported Thursday morning that the coaching staff at Ole Miss was skeptical of the severity of Leavitt's injury and expected him to play on Saturday.
SEC rules allow the conference to fine a school and even punish a head coach for inaccurate injury reports. Injury report shenanigans "intended to hide a student-athlete's true participation status for competitive or strategic reasons" are not allowed.

Kiffin, for all his attributes, is a compulsive liar. In this case though, he has the possibility of pissing off the Vegas Wise guys. Not good

So I guess that's what the L and S stand for in LSU?
Huh. I never knew that...

Ill never forget the game in the 90s when we had the Bama offense bottled up all game until we knocked their qb out of the game.
The their WR, Palmer?, moved over to qb and ran all over us to win the game.
What a nightmare.

He's probably a little banged up- but he's not admitted to a hospital as some have tried to suggest. Landen Clark is a very capable backup, and yes- his path to LSU does somewhat mirror the same path Chambliss traveled.
Chambliss seems to have worked out okay.
Kiffin & Co saw something in both of them that no one else did....

If you're giving us the full Leavitt experience, can you guarantee us that you, too, will continue to throw multiple interceptions?
At a tiny school like Elon Clark threw a high number of INTs vs TDs. I expect it to be worse against SEC competition without the WR's of the past. This is a nightmare situation for LSU to have an above average FCS QB starting his first SEC game on the road as an underdog.

There's already a meeting scheduled to discuss expelling LSU if Leavitt plays
