I doubt Georgia will have much of a chance in this game vs LSU. Have you seen the offense play? They played poor offense the last 4 games completing 50 percent pass efficiency and had 35 total yards pass vs Kentucky and lost to South Carolina. Georgia has discipline problems like bama does except bama got lot more talent. (Discipline problems as in offsides, lot of
pulling on face mask, too many men on field, false starts) Georgia has those same problems

LSU is unequivocally one of the best 4 teams.

If you don’t win your conference, in today’s format, you should not get in.

Losing the SEC and somehow going on to win the playoff is just odd and bittersweet- especially come banner hanging time.

I'm like that too.....hard to say a team is best team in country if they didn't win their conference.

I honestly agree.

BUT, since the precedent has already been set, and non-conference champions have already been allowed in, LSU with their resume' should get that same courtesy.

Now if the committee had stuck with "only conference champions" from day 1, I'd say LSU shouldn't be in.

They could still make the case for being in the top four and probably should get in if we are being honest.

They would have 1 loss to what would then be to a top 1-2 team.

Now would the committee have the balls to do that?

I dunno.

My wish is Clemson loses, I would love to see how they would handle that.

I think that the Alabama Backdoor Clause of CFP Regulations grants exclusivity to Alabama only. It’s right under the Notre Dame Special Rights clause in the CFP manual.

I think if we lose we’re out.

LOL I meant the committee.

I think Clemson is one of the best four --- and if they only had one loss, how would the committee treat them?

This is a good take.

I think it is a great question for LSU fans though, before the game.

Last season before the SECCG, I think UGA fans thought of the CCG as a play-in game. After the game was so close to the greatest team in college football history, the UGA narrative changed to "best 4 teams" and the focus turned to inconsistencies in playoff invitations (best 4 teams? Or play-in game).

I like the idea that the game means something. I like the idea that it is a play in (must win) game.

But it bothers me the inconsistencies with the selection committee. If a team has earned a mulligan, it would be LSU.

they def are out unless all of Oklahoma, Utah and UGA loses and the committee doesn't like Baylor.

i would give it to Baylor but Clemson did play two P5 teams OOC.

Well...Bama did it without even winning the West...so there’s that.

And that was 2 teams, not 4.

I am ok with LSU left out playoffs if they lose to Georgia.

If you can’t beat Georgia you won’t be able to beat Ohio st and maybe even Clemson anyway.
