Does that mean that every black UGA football player could transfer elsewhere and play immediately? If not, why not.

If Fields was so worried about racism why did he chose to stay with the team through the Sugar Bowl?

It opens a giant can of worms for sure. IMO I don’t think he gets the waiver.

He’s going to ride the bench at Ohio State anyway. Maybe the benches are just nicer up there.

No it means Ohio State as an upper echelon program such as Alabama simply made it happen.

Whether by dollars or politics is irrelevant.

Georgia trying the meddle in big boy things can't be a good thing so just let it go.

Coaches/fans/schools have done this to football.
Changing jobs voluntarily/involuntarily at breakneck pace only increases the rationality of not punishing the players for moving as well.

He shouldn’t have to put forth a BS excuse. He should be able to just transfer.

More to do with what the coaches told him. UGA will not fight it. Rats, ship, etc.

This is a bad look for Georgia and it is why Kirby handled this with kid gloves.

Fields is playing the race because society allows him too.

You have a point. I hate the NCAA. At least what Fields is doing will embarrass them either way. They will be called racist if they don't let him play or they will be mocked for letting him play immediately for no reason.

Screw the NCAA

UGA has no say in the matter. It is between Oh State and the NCAA.

This is an abortion of a ruling if a butthurt QB is granted an immediate transfer because of something said in the stands during a game. Just wow.

He’s granted the transfer because he can transfer just like anyone else. They’re talking about immediate eligibility mike.

He should no be immediately eligible but Yeah he'll find a way. BUT, honestly UGA is better off with out him...dude seem like a problem in the locker room, will fit right in at OSU. I know MIZ picked up Kelly Bryant, but he transferred under much different circumstances (not saying we wouldn't chase Fields if it was an option). This doesn't hurt UGA in the least IMO.

His dad felt like the starting job at Georgia should have been gifted to him , otherwise what were allllllllll the meetings with Daddy about. Daddy wanted him to start and start now....the race card tactic is tragic, to get instant eligibility.
He may prove to not be able to beat out the other QB talent at Ohio State.....either way like a Georgia fan poster said on another thread when looking at all the meetings from Daddy and meddling from Daddy and now this I feel as if Georgia is dodging a bullet with this kid.
