Not sure if that means Bama doesn't win in a very tight game anyway but yes, losing your starting QB that got you there in a national title game makes a big difference. Colt was a gamer, especially in big games.

If Colt hadn't gotten hurt, Bama wouldn't have scrapped their game plan on both sides of the ball and played like vanilla cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Our QB was hurt going in, which pretty much takes Julio Freaking Jones out of the game. We just lined up and ran it down their throats and made them like it.
