I asked a simple question too........if Deshaun Watson plays the entire game in 2015, does Clemson win?

This is my favorite sip assumption, as if Colt playing guarantees them winning the game.

It’s just so silly. Colt would’ve gotten hurt on the next drive, or the one after that. (And he knew it.)
He got hurt just about every time he was hit hard.

Of course this completely ignores the fact that Bama plowed through the sip defense like a knife though butter. They packed it in once they had a big lead.

And a couple of little lost Longhorns rushing in to defend the screwing the Big XII put on Nebraska.

Replacing star QBs in championship scenarios has worked out pretty well in the not-too-distant past.

I will respond to this post because, well, everyone wanted to ignore it.

Does Jalen Hurts having a off night and get replaced by Tua win a national championship?

We can all argue about this till we are blue in the face. It won't change the final score of the game.

McCoy got dinged up and left the game. Alabama probably shut things down offensively a bit too early. They still won.

When you start adding in what ifs then anything can happen. You are just asking people for their opinion at that point. If Arkansas doesn't lose the starting QB and both RBs against Ole Miss do we win against them last year? I dunno.

If LSU had gotten Oklahoma State instead of a rematch with Bama are we talking about the 2011 LSU team as one of the all time greats? Beats me.

If Dan Skipper doesn't completely shite the bed and trip an A&M player thirty yards behind the play does Arkansas beat A&M and change the trajectory of Bert's stay at Arkansas? Your guess is as good as mine.

That is the great thing about sports. Anything could happen, but in the end you get what did happen. Alabama finally snapped their string of beatdowns at the hands of the Longwhorns and won a national title.

I highly doubt it.

But it's a bad comparison, because Colt McCoy was never Deshaun Watson.

Ive just never understood what its based on. Bama's defense shut down Tebow who was twice the QB Colt was.

So, looks like proof that you just don't know either way.

No doubt it did. But it made a huge difference to how Bama handled their business as well.

OU and Nebraska were the two toughest defenses McCoy played that season before Bama. He threw for 311 yards with four ints and 1 TD combined in those two games
