It's a legal way to get individuals involved, unlike the hairbrained "charity" that was cooked up by the boosters of another school.

You do understand they made the NIL donations tax deductible with that move? So, not only is 25% not getting skimmed off the top(fleece those rubes TexAgs) they get a tax deduction too.

I'd bet more schools follow the Texas model than the copycat Stacked model.

Why did they pick a name that is common to pancakes?
Try to convince a bunch of true DLs that Durkin's use of an edge LB to pass rush is a 4 man front.

Every program cheated for decades. One program got the death penalty. For those wishing A&M gets the death penalty now that its legal is more than laughable

NIL is legal. Under Texas' NIL laws players cannot negotiate NIL until enrolled. None of these guys are enrolled. So, none of it is NIL. It is all dropping bags.

I guess we will see but this is just wish casting. Even if you think A&M just bought this class then why would they leave if they are getting paid?

Because the portal allows you, and your 'uncles', to grab a second payday.

Plus you bought 6-7 DL and then hired a DC that runs a 3 man front. Think the extra guys are going to stick around for 4 years or grab another bag to start for another program?

With the CFP expansion those things don't matter anymore.
Don't forget 8&4's Chancellor John Sharp leaked the Texas and OU move 4-5 months ago to try to stop them joining the SEC.
LSU played Texas 8&4 with a COVID depleted team and a lame duck coach.

COVID killed the 12th man.

What’s an alter?

A place where Texas 8&4feit worships Jimbo.
They aren't going to lose their recruiting in the state of Texas like pig did.

We are seeing this at OU with the further they get from Stoops.
A&M voted for unequal revenue sharing all the up until their last vote when they changed for cover to leave.
Someone recent SEC member thinks the SEC isn't going to protect the guard.
Baseball for Texas

Keep in mind privates are needed to shield full conference financials. All public universities and sunshine laws come in to the picture.

EDIT- someone else already covered it with a better explanation.
SMU and A&M's TV bans from multiple NCAA infractions are what killed the SWC.

The Big 12 was a shotgun wedding that was destined to fail.
Zach Smith hates the Hermans for Tom and his wife standing with Courtney in her efforts to get out from under Zach's control. The Hermans help included paying Courtney's legal bills and nursing school tuition. If Zach Smith actually had any proof for any of his accusations against Herman he would have already put it out there to try to destroy the Hermans.

Courtney recently put her side of the story out there at Mended Halos. There is a three part piece about why Zach Smith hates the Hermans so much. She also said she was the source for the Brett McMurphy story and not Tom Herman as so many people tried to claim. LINK

Clemson doesn’t look the same up front defensively, this kind of a game is a Jimbo special.

When you pull Etienne after 12 carries and still end up with 400 yards rushing at 8.4 yards per carry a Pop Warner defense would likely be enough.

And Texas doesn't stop them even though they're built to stop them and see it nine times a year. You'd think Texas would stop someone given their vast experience each year yet they got worse. They won't stop LSU.

With how many more snaps Big 12 defenses face I'd look at Red Zone defense over total defense.

The growing lack of parity in college football is definitely a problem. UA, UGA, OU, OSU, and Clemson are so far and away superior to everybody else and the gap is only widening. I mean it's a virtual 100% lock Clemson and at least one of Bama or UGA will be in the playoff this year.

The present playoff system has some fault in that. If a kid wants to play for a national title there are realistically only a dozen teams that you can go to for that experience.
