Lol at this great take.
Yes, the guy that started every game for four years to eventually get to that moment, and was the winningest college football qb at the time, quit because he got hit hard. I'm embarrassed for you by this take lol
Gotta protect that draft stock.

I'm not saying texas would have won automatically, but it's crazy to think him being out didn't DRASTICALLY change the game.
Al I know is that Texas went in with a perfectly healthy Colt McCoy....and left with a big fat loss.

All we did was hand the ball off to Richardson and Ingram to bleed the clock.
Both of whom rushed for over 100 yards. I mean was Colt playing LB too?

I'm not trying to change your mind. Again, it all worked out the same in the end.

If my aunt had balls...

It's obviously a what if - like about 1,000 other games in sports history - but that idea that it is open and shut that Texas wins is silliness.
Deshaun Watson gets hurt on the first drive of game 2... does a Kelly Bryant led Clemson win?
I'll hang up and listen

Sometimes you shut teams out with an injured QB and sometimes you lose championship games with one.
shite happens.

shite happens.

Gilbert didn't light it up by any stretch of the imagination. He was 15-40 for 186 yards and threw four interceptions.

You're just proving the point that TEXAS would've won with Colt playing all game.
How does that possibly prove the point? Your backup QB played atrociously awfully. Colt would have been mediocre. Look what Nebraskas defense did to Colt. Alabama and Nebraska were 1 and 2 in total defense that year

10 years ago and 5 championships ago, must be a sad existence.

If DeShaun Watson plays the whole game in 2015, does Clemson win?

Had Colt play, would Texas have won? Maybe, or maybe not. We'll never know.
Had Bradford played the full game for OU in 2009, they probably beat UT and Texas does not play Bama in the MNC game.
Was there a second left on the clock in the Nebraska game? No question. Non-stupid people understand this.
Regardless, Texas fans don't sit around thinking "well if only Colt didn't get hurt..." It was 10 freaking years ago. Maybe it's a topic for discussion because *gasp* it's August and they're running out of things to talk about before the season starts tomorrow.
Also, this.

Expect Acho to believe that. McElroy hit him with that asterisk line

Bro, Colt had no draft stock in comparison to Tebow or Bradford that year. People knew he was gonna be mid second round at best and that he was likely going to be a career journeyman or back-up and not a franchise player.
You're trying way too hard. Sorry Tebow crying emasculated your entire fan base.

Soon to be five pages of the very secure Alabama fanbase squealing like Ned Beatty in Deliverance.

Hmm...they only beat Oklahoma that season 16-13 despite Bradford leaving early. Hmm...

And yet here you are, posting as an alter on an SEC message board.

Not sure if you noticed, but an aggie started this thread. Which is comical, as they never have, nor ever will, remotely taste a national championship or playoff appearance
