I say, let A & M walk and grab UNC. That way, a better balance geographically and matches up pretty closely with the old Southern Conference of the 20s and 30s.

I mean, I've accepted Texas joining from the start. But I guess I'm the weird one b/c I never wanted to stop playing them and thought all the arguments against by both sides were silly.

The state of Texas is going to be saturated with SEC. texas, ou, lsu, arky all right here. A&M gets no academic prestige from being in the SEC. The B1G is huuuuge academic prestige. From the posts over the last days the SEC is very skeezy. Sounds like locker talk, not alum. Very trailer park.
