I'd rather have UVA/UNC than OU/TX.

Reasons:

-We already have one very large Texas school in the conference. Both would be annoying and mess up the balance of the conference.

-UT does dot get along well with others. They will try to dictate rules to everyone else and try to take over the conference. Doing anything with these people is miserable. frick em. Adding Texas will ruin the SEC.

-NC and VA are more southern in a traditional sense, and it would be cool to expand to that part of the country.

-Academics and alumni at these schools are very strong and well connected. Will raise academic profile of SEC.

Va Tech and UCF for me. UCF is a sleeping giant. They need to get into a P5 conference. It might as well be the SEC.

You could add Stanford, Northwestern, MIT, Harvard, Yale, The University of Science, etc - and it would NEVER raise the academic profile of LSU.

LOL

UVA/UNC have no desire to be in the SEC

Probably true, just wishful thinking on my end.

Probably can’t get UVA or UNC… but might get younger brother… still, if NCState and VTech jumps ship, the ACC is teetering…

I'd prefer a move into Carolina/Virginia instead of West as well, but those schools don't want it.

VaTech has had more recent athletic success and from what I've heard from North Carolina people that I know, UNC are the 'sips of North Carolina. Entitled, snobbish, etc.

that would probably be great, but the conference would be huge. Not opposed to that really, then other conferences would have to expand too.

I couldn’t imagine the Pearl clutching that would happen if LSU played a game in Charlottesville.

My god.

Me too. But is that a realistic option?

UVA/UNC

Pipe dream. ACC founding members obsessed with their academic status and unwilling to give up all their clout in the ACC. UNC basically runs that conference. Not to mention it is a fairly stable conference with a 15 something year grant of rights.

OU/TX

Actual realistic scenario because they are in a collapsing conference that hasn't had true stability, well, ever.
