LSU being a 5-5 team this year given their talent and coaching is obvious and inevitable

I mean, I know you'd suck your own dick if you could, but I'm going to need some clarification here.

not unprecedented

No, what's unprecedented is a national champion losing 17 starters and 34 players overall in an offseason where spring practice was stopped because of a national pandemic.

Try to keep up.

There’s a ton of them. You know they’re there. Go find them.

That's not how this works. You made the argument:

quote:

My favorite from several LSU posters this offseason regarding the loss of Brady to the NFL:

“No big loss, we still have the 2019 playbook and have the players to plug into the system. We won’t miss a beat.”

Now you find the evidence to back up your argument. Otherwise, everyone that reads this will know you're full of shite.

The biggest thing IMO is Pelini....LSU should be able to get a helluva lot better DC than him.

Bad timing when we hired him.

I'm sure Orgeron feels a little burned by Brady bailing, but he needs to bring in young blood.

So I've gone through the first page and I don't see anything approaching this:

“No big loss, we still have the 2019 playbook and have the players to plug into the system. We won’t miss a beat.”

This is your baby. Why don't you go through that thread and give me some examples?

Realistically, any championship team that only returns five starters is going to struggle.

I think with Logan out and Stingly yesterday, two of our best defensive players, we had 11 new starters on defense. And on offense, it was 9 of 11 and one of those missed a lot of time last year. Basically an entirely new football team. It’s unprecedented.

We’ll be fine after it’s all said and done. Just going to have some major growing pains this year. I felt like this would be a 7-4 team considering what we lost and yesterday didn’t completely shock me

Just unfortunate we had to face a team with an offense like Leach’s right out of the gate, especially with Stingley out. Hard to tell if the defense was that bad, or if the Air Raid just made things look worse than they actually are

This was always a retarded take.

2019 LSU didnt run some secret system that no one could stop, they just executed better than everyone else.

2019 LSU was way more about the players involved than Joe Brady as evidenced by some of his NFL playcalling so far.

Some of yalls responses in this thread are making me feel a little bit better about yesterday. Appreciate that.

Why should I read the whole thread just to prove your thesis? That's not how this works.

I think you guys will be okay, State will end up being a solid team. Leach can coach offense.

Who is #11 on LSU’s defense? He was a guy that came to play yesterday and looked good, also Brennan has to gain some trust in himself, you can see the talent but he has to just play ball and don’t worry about making a mistake. Just let it rip

There's a lot of stuff that was disappointing, and you kinda just have to accept it, but what really bothers me is that Pelini never really tried to change up anything.

This is the same way OSU has just crushed Michigan with Don Brown. He's a man to man guy and lives and dies by it. The problem is everyone knows it and OSU just runs crossing routes over the middle after clearing out a side of the field. Why they are scoring 50+ on them and putting up tons of big plays

You guys will be ok. It’s sucks when we see our teams lose a game especially after a championship season. You guys have loads of talent, but y’all lost a ton of players too. Stingley will be back and that will help y’all. Hang in there brother.

This is a great thread where people are being realistic and you are a troll. Texas A&M is a loser program that will never win a national title. LSU has 3 in the last 20 years and even if we don’t win another in the next 20, we’re good. Troll all you want those are the facts.

Not it's not.

Brennan had more time to throw than any SEC quarterback yesterday. Brennan can throw the ball, but he doesn't know how to play quarterback. Big difference.

I think most rational fans expected the drop off and a shootout with MSU was lurking in my mind. But to give up the yards we did and seeing Brennan struggle was disheartening. I guess compounded by the fact that we hadn’t lost in a really long time. It does suck I’ll admit.
