You can thank the BIG & all of the other pussy conferences that insisted on expanded playoffs & NIL/pay for play just because they got tired of the SEC wining it almost every year.

We should go back to 4 teams

I hope Tulane and JMU get their doors blown off to show the committee such DEI idiocy isn't the best policy.
Maybe do some sort of European soccer type thing with tiers when it comes to playoffs? I don't watch soccer so don't know how that works, but the big boys all play each other while the lower quality teams do the same.

It’s a Ponzi scheme.
Just a big cash grab for everyone involved.

I freaking love it. Get rid of this abomination or do it right! G5 schools will never win it against the best in the nation. Get them out of contention, along with ND.
Prerequisite of belonging to a power 2 conference should be the main requirement.
Or we aren't serious about a playoff and I'd love watching it collapse under the weight of ignorance.

This is the worst year of the CFB committee.
Then we have the most parity ever and JMU & Tulane make it in on technicalities

James Madison and Tulane are the problems IMO.

The viewership numbers will reflect the committees mistake, but who knows if they change things in the future.

Now we have the dumb signing day/portal calendar making the Kiffin, Sumrall coaching change mess

With you up to this part. Sumrall's move is basically the way it historically went. You coached your team through the end of the year. That's what he's doing.

The thing is there are usually only 5-6 teams in a given year who can win it all. They should just make it 8 to shorten the porch. Also should only have one portal window and if you use the portal a 2nd time you have to start sitting out a year like the days of old.

For non-playoff teams the extra 15 bowl practices aren’t even that beneficial, because rosters are going to flip so much before next year.
I think we’ve seen the last of the unique, innovative offense. Teams will eventually run the same basic system so they can just plug new players in every year

Can we all agree this is Bama’s fault?
