The urgency to replace Underwood just isn’t as bad as some of you are portraying though. He wasn’t next year’s starter and LSU has quarterbacks in the bench to replace Nuss when he leaves. You are panicking about something that may or may not be an issue years down the road. It’s irrational.
This is not a “brutal loss.” Jesus Christ.
LSU has a fan problem. No highschooler is worth that much money. There are capable quarterbacks all over the country.
This is all new and exciting for a lot of people. It will die down a bit though and become most of what it was before. There’s always been money involved for top recruits.
If this hastens the hire of a competent OC then it’s a blessing in disguise.
I tend to agree. Odds are that this will not hurt the way panicky posters think it will. There is not a single “can’t miss” player in high school or college football.
Those convinced that Underwood can do no wrong have not paid much attention to college football. This is a blip in the radar.
Yeah, I don’t get it either, man.
Yes. Underwood was/is not a savior. It’s foolish to think any qb would walk into the spot and change the whole team. All is not lost or won behind one player. LSU still has good quarterbacks on the roster. If we had never heard of Underwood I think nearly all of us would be satisfied with the quarterbacks we have on the bench.
This isn’t the blow many believe it to be. It is, however,, exactly what the program deserves for basically forfeiting the season to get a single player that may or may not pan out. LSU is still in Good shape at the quarterback position but opportunity must be given to the backups at this point.

Nothing in this thread excuses his poor technique or his interceptions.
Not allowing other players an opportunity when one is playing this poorly will hurt recruiting in coming years.
He threw a couple of big interceptions. He made a lot of bad mistakes. Let’s get that straight.

Daniels and Burrow did not throw picks like Nuss does. They were much better quarterbacks who understood situations and control.

Underwood at LSU seems more and more unlikely whether Sloan is there or not. Why would he want to deal with this?

He gets up slow after routine tackles. Soft both mentally and physically.

I believe Perkins was pretty good in the spy role last year.

Anderson prevented Nuss’s third pick there. The dude just throws ahit up for grabs.

Another quick, scared bail from a good pocket and another shite throw on the run.

He would rather risk a pick than run it for 6 yards.
