Pretty sure we still get a trophy for it.

1st in line for a Bama SEC West Co-Championship T-shirt at Wal-Mart

This is what we’ve reduced y’all to?

Still one of the biggest f*** jobs the SEC office has ever allowed.
Did they prevent other teams from doing it?

This is Bama trying to sculpt the narrative for CFP.
When it gets brought up they didn't win their division, they will resort to what they think is a technicality

If memory serves..didn't one Thomas Tuberville claim such a thing and buy rings a few years back? I think he was head coach at Auburn at the time...and..just asking...is there a flag or something at Jerden Hair commemorating the achievement?
Correct me if I am wrong someone.

Nice of you say, but not true. The tie breaker is head to head, so there is no argument that Auburn is the winner of the west. The rules are clear on this non issue.
The tie breaker is only for who represents the West in the SECCG. Alabama and Auburn are technically SEC West Co-Champions.

Correct. The SEC will recognize y'all as West champs and send you a trophy.

The tie breaker is merely to determine the representative in the SEC CG, does not determine Division winner
Damn, someone already beat me to it

So it was OK when Tubby and Auburn did it...

Please don't demean yourselves by going the Ole Miss route. You lost the west, you lost to Auburn, accept it, deal with it.

Aubie did the same thing. And any edge we can get when going for a playoff spot they are trying to give to a 2 loss team with a 31 point loss ahead of us.

Yep, they indeed have a flag with 2001 and 2002 West champs.

There is no “claim” about it. They are technically co-champs but nobody gives a shite about it if you aren’t playing in Atlanta. Committee sure won’t. It will be a little note in the official record books and that is it.

I swear, the more I read a handful of folks after the Auburn loss the more convinced I am some people didn't endure 1997-2007.
It's impossible to lose your mind this much after a 11-1 season and 1 loss to Auburn like this if you had to endure that 10 year stretch.
