I think Bama could claim a share of the SEC West Crown...

Both AU and UA finished with 1 loss however AU won the head-to-head game thus giving them the nod. So basically AU won the tie breaker.
I believe that angle weighs on the mind of some committee members and why Alabama has a good chance of grabbing the 4th spot if Wisconsin loses.

I think nobody on the committee will even think about that. They will just say Bama has one loss and it is to a quality opponent on the road, and therefore should not be penalized too much for it.

Gone are the days of Bama playing that extra conference game against Vandy to ensure you win the title on paper even when you lose to Auburn a la 1972. Still one of the biggest f*** jobs the SEC office has ever allowed. And that saying something because they've been in Bama's corner for 50 years

Nice of you say, but not true. The tie breaker is head to head, so there is no argument that Auburn is the winner of the west. The rules are clear on this non issue.
