I still think Georgia’s missing piece is a coordinator (or 2)

I’d be inclined to say the coordinator is a given but Kiffin took freshman Jalen Hurts all the way the national championship through a brutal schedule. But I digress.
Idk if it was posted here but I’d urge some Georgia posters to check out the Bama board and look at the Jordan Rodgers thread. Makes a very insightful analysis on a few sneaky little things Sark did after some early game observations supposedly. I believe Georgia has top coordinators I really do, more or less speaking for offense. But I don’t think Georgia has that S tier type offensive coordinator like Kiffin or Sark etc. There are specific types of people who are just born to be coordinators. Chief in his prime was one. Venables is one. I think Georgia is still settling at the moment, but that’s just my take.
HOWEVER, I also don’t think they needed that “s-tier” type coordinator to beat Alabama. All they needed to do is run and that game would’ve been over before the 4th quarter. Just my input on the situation. Someone who’s an ON THE FIELD coordinator. Always felt like those were better.

I think they've got that coordinator in Monken, now. He just needs a QB he can do things with.

Disagree. Monken called an excellent game. Stetson couldn’t hit.

Did we watch the same game? Monken called a pretty good game. Stet just couldn’t hit the passes he needed too including not seeing those who were wide open.

Nope. Just need the qb and luck .

Georgia called a horrible game. Look at the play by play sheet. You had the lead then decided to devote from what was working and put the outcome in the shoulders of a 5 10 walk on QB. Much like LSU / Georgia 208 dumbest play calling by someone not named Gus I ever seen.

If y'all still had Fields that game probably have gone down the wire. Ohio St will be great once again with him.

Good thing no one cares

We score far less if this were true.

This is the best staff since Kirby's been here.

Maybe a HC who doesn’t look and act like a lesbian gym teacher?

If we had JF I think we would have won that game by multiple scores. Left so many points on the field. 3 and outs and 3 interceptions kept our D gassed. Would have been a much better game for us in the 4th.
Congrats though, y’all have a great team.

Monken called a great game. Multiple receivers running open every play and averaging like 7 yds a run. The problem was our QB could not execute.

Georgia's missing piece is the potential of a 5* QB waiting on the side lines.

You absolutely don't have to have those to beat Bama. Auburn hasn't had one of those since Malzahn has been at Auburn, and he has 3 wins vs Bama. Once with Lashlee (who wasn't the Lashlee of today,) one with Lindsey, and once with Gus as the playcaller (OC was officially a clipboard holder.)
So, no you don't have to have those types to beat Bama.

Receivers running open is a constant excuse people make to claim a cord is good. Part of his job is designing a game plan the QB can execute.
If the QB can not find open receivers, that is on cords and QB development. We had the same "open receivers" with Muschamp and Mac.

Newman screwed us.
Naw, Kirby told some lies, and broke some recruiting promises, and Newman called him out for it. Good for Newman.

Kirby doesn’t have the street cred to just go around hiring failed HCs as position coaches
