Yeah, and we all laughed then too. Shut up and laugh at Georgia.
And I'm not sure Bama players talked as much shite before those losses as Georgia did. That, and the fans crying over not making the playoffs.

Not very comparable OP
Those are some losses sandwiched between a boatload of titles
Others have those losses sandwiched between all their other failures

Agree. Bowl games will mean less and less as time goes on. Just an opportunity to get ready for the following year, and send off some SRs that didn't sit out
You are just going to have these type of games in the future. One team is disappointment and deflated and another is on the rise with something to prove.
Happened to Bama against Utah and OU.

I was at the Utah game. That was just depressing.

didn't UGA have a point to make last night?

The early signing period for HS recruits takes some importance from the bowl games as well, though I still think they matter for recruiting, especially for a team like LSU that is trying to get back to prominence.

Exactly. Not sure why OP is trying to let UGA off the hook and making the excuses for them.

I agree Utah just whipped Bama. Bama was missing some key starters in the OL which didn’t help but they vastly overlooked a really good Utah team.

Not showing up for "non-title games" is semi-acceptable when it happens 2 times in a decade and is sandwiched between winning 6 national titles.......and it still pisses me off when I think about it.
If you are going to show up flat in non-title games you better be winning a bunch of titles in the other years.

Being disappointed for the Oklahoma game I get Bama had won three national titles and was one play away from going again. Georgia’s not there yet and if they think they are they need a new perspective.

I agree the sugar bowl has not been kind to the sec lately.

Me neither, we deserved to be laughed at when we lost to Utah, UGA should be no different. Have an upvote.

Agreed, UT was also a runner up, but they were hungry and glad to be in a New Year's day's 6. They simply wanted the win more and it showed.

The SEC will move to cancel its Sugar Bowl arrangement with the BIG XII real soon. Book it.
Why? There have only been three matchups under this arrangement. The Sugar Bowl is the SEC’s preferred bowl. Not going anywhere.

That cost UGA...from having a chance to be in the playoffs, they DID have something to prove and they laid an egg. Now they have a three loss season and if Bama wins Monday Night they have lost a lot of momentum in the recruiting wars to get the remaining ones left out there.
Kirby best watch it, there's a coach now in Gainesville again and if he's not careful he could be a game or so from a hot seat. He's lost twice now to Saban and if Mullen gets him next year and wins the East....someone might be in trouble.
