If he is such a good friend I would think that he will be cool with watching the game at the reception. My cousin's dad watched UT play at his son's reception.

Here's an idea (pretty creative too):

Call your cousin ASAP. Tell him the truth. Say, "Mutherfricker...you know how much the TN/Bama game means to me. To us! Why the frick did you allow your fiancé to plan the wedding on that weekend of all weekend?"

No matter how your cousin responds, follow up with this, "I don't want this to drive a wedge between us. I value your friendship. You're like a brother to me. Which makes what I'm about to say painful but necessary: I won't be at your wedding. I'm going to the game..."

Your cousin will protest but kindly cut him off and say, "Dude, if I miss that game because you didn't have the balls to tell your fiancé to schedule it on another date...I'll hate you forever. I love you too much to allow your fiancé to ruin our lifelong friendship. Dude, I hope you'd do the same for me. I'd expect nothing less..."

Your cousin will continue to protest, perhaps at this point he will be preparing to leave. You grab his arm and say, "Sit down and please listen to me, cuz. I have a compromise that may make your wedding the GOAT wedding. Hear me out..."

Your cousin will take a seat and begrudgingly listen.

"I'll take my iPad to the game and wear the tux as well. I'll ask my mom to place the iPad on a table near the alter so that you can see me and I can see you and your fiancé during the ceremony. I won't just be there in spirit, I'll actually be there through the power of technology. Also, I'll do my best to get the crowd into it as much as possible. The moment you kiss, the entire crowd will congratulate you and cheer. It'll be one of the coolest things imaginable. Also, I'll try to get the stadium to project your wedding kiss onto the jumbo tron for everyone to witness. If I can pull it off, it'll be legendary for me, for you and your fiancé, for EVERYONE! Think about that. This is a great idea, bro! Roll with it! Send me to the game!"

Your cousin will smile and certainly consider it.

Just remember to tell him it was Killz' idea.

So he's a good friend and this is tough because you don't want want to hurt the friendship.

But.

Dude.

He's getting married.

Your friendship is toast.

Might as well go to the game.

Creative idea, but it wouldn't work. SEC and the universities grid lock the campuses during games.

If you were more like the old guy in this story you wouldn't have to ask a stupid question on a message board.

=====================================================
Not the same thing but weddings are scheduled on purpose.

"A man had 50 yard line tickets for a LSU game.

As he sat down, he noticed that the seat next to him was empty.

He asked the man on the other side of the empty seat whether anyone was sitting there.

"No," the man replied, "The seat is empty."

"This is incredible," said the first man.

"Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the LSU game, the biggest sporting event in the state and not use it?"

The second man replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This will be the first LSU game we haven't attended together since we got married in 1967."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?"

The man shook his head. "No, they're all at the funeral.""

He is not your friend go to the game. No friend sets up a wedding the same day as big game. Tell them that the divorce rate is 50% in this country and you will catch the next one

Coincidentally, this is my birthday, and I am also standing in a wedding. Will be missing USM @ LSU so not upset. Did have my wife stand in a wedding for the 2014 LSU @ Bama game. I went to the wedding, but watched the game on my iPhone because frick them.

Go to the game bruh.

Anyone who schedules a wedding on a Saturday during football season deserves to have nobody show up to their wedding.

I guarantee he didn't do it, she did....and if a woman is that selfish and self centered, you'd be making a helluva mistake getting hooked up with her....has she got money?..

Just tell him that you are going to the Bama game and he should take the schedule into account the next time he gets married.

I'm sure he'll understand.

Hook up with his fiancee so they'll call off the wedding.

You should go to the game. Might be the only time Tennessee has a decent shot of winning from here on out while you are alive. Your cousin's marriage will not last and if he's dumb enough there might be a second one down the road. It might be a same sex marriage and that's going to be the one you will want to attend.

1. Stage an elaborate kidnapping the day before
2. Go to the game
3. Show back up the day after the game
4. ?
5. Profit
