He was thought to be the guy last spring, and mond won the job.

I have seen him play, and i think he has a good arm. At this point i would think arkansas is his front runner. What would we be getting in a QB if so.

Good passer. He did have some questionable throws during his Aggy tenure, but he is definitely serviceable.

Having said that, he's not very mobile. I'm not sure how that would work with Chad's offensive system.

Also, he's arse my dude.

IMO Starkel was a better pure passer than Mond (mechanically) but Starkel was pretty quick to pull the trigger on questionable passes for better or worse. Where Mond was typically way more safe with the ball but also has slower decision making.

Despite the thought that Mond was the far superior scrambling/running QB, I thought Starkel was more mobile in the pocket with his awareness. Obviously Mond would scorch Starkel in a foot race but I still like Starkel's movement in the pocket better.

If you get him you'll have a decently experienced QB with good passing mechanics and 2 years of eligibility. It wouldn't be a bad grab at all.

I think he will be a good QB for somebody.

The "he's arse, my dude" comment is an inside joke. Tate Martell tweeted that about Starkel when they were both committed to A&M.

He’s not going to Arkansas. The kid that transferred from SMU isn’t bad at all

He has a strong arm, but his lack of mobility is a liability. Just needs to be in the right situation. Ryan Mallet is a decent comparable.

His arm strength isn't the best.
Sonny Dykes wanted someone that could stretch the D vertically.

SMU with a little better QB play beats Memphis and plays in the AAC championship game.

But he is familiar with Chad Morris' offense so he is good to have in the QB room because he is like an extra coach.
Good guy to have the headset on.

Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Starkel Motion.

He would lead you guys to 4 or 5 victories so he is an excellent fit for Arkansas. You guys will be VERY happy with him.

Calm down now. We don’t want people getting excited and stroking out. Let’s start with 3 wins

He’s an SEC caliber QB and has a big arm. He got beat out by Mond because Mond’s huge strides with his accuracy & mobility.

I’d prefer Stark to Bryant.
