I live in Georgia and most Dawg fans I talk to say this isn’t a good UGA team

And they have no shot at the title. Why are UGA fans here so defensive about it? It’s blatantly obvious if you watch their games against vastly inferior talent

They are comparing them to 2022 and 2021. This is a good Georgia team compared to everyone else currently in the SEC. It will be tough for them to win the Natty though. If they do, Kirby needs a big fat raise and a statue.

I’m not sure how one could conclude that. They’ve got an excellent defense and enough talent on offense to win. They can beat anyone. Can they lose? Sure. But I certainly don’t see any sure losses on their schedule.

That’s just false. What team on the schedule is a sure loss? Will all the young/new parts of the team improve as the years moves along? Will we get healthier?

This team is not dominant. They are very composed and they don’t panic.

Beck has played a lot better than UGA and opposing fans are giving him credit for.
Bowers is an all timer.
Edwards just got out of a knee brace.
RaRa and Lovett are just learning the system. Ladd just got his first playtime back from injury.
OL is adjusting to injuries.

Defense…I ain’t sure the LB issues are fixable. Secondary is great. DL is adequate.

Freshman kicker is a freshman kicker.

My honest prediction for Saturday is they look great and beat the frick out of KY.

We may not be good and not have a shot. I mean we could be very good and still not win it.

But JMO, the fans who are the most negative when things are not going as well as we thought and the ones who are most positive when things are going better than we thought, know the least about football.

Just my experience.

I'd almost bet you to a man, those same fans will say Carson Beck sucks.

If they are saying that, that should tell you about their football IQ.

Most Georgia people that I know are saying that we don’t look very good and that if we don’t improve, we’re bound to lose a game or two

NONE of them are saying that we have no shot to win a title - SEC or natty…

You must have talked to my dad…he always thinks we’re going to lose.

The reality is we’re not as dominant as we were in the past and are feeling the loss of some key leaders to the NFL and to injury. We’re definitely a very good team but could also easily lose 1 or 2 if we don’t get our shite together and have a bad night. Time will tell.

The real question is why OP cares? It’s not like LSU is going to play them this year.

Six starters have missed time so far. Running back is so thin due to injury that a WR is getting carries,

The offense is starting to gel, but the defense does not appear to be as dominant as the past two seasons.

The same people griping about Beck griped about Bennett.

The last three years we had multiple upperclassman 1st round picks on the DL. Currently we have 1 guy that will qualify as a potential 1st rounder on the DL and he’s a sophomore. This defense is not close to the last three years and that is what people are expecting The LB’s have also not played their best this year. The front 7 is what is the problem right now on defense.

The offense is handicapping itself. We are really banged up at RB, the OL hasn’t played up to it’s expectations and in all honesty we should be 80/20 pass run split given who we have healthy. The people are ignorant because they keep pointing at Bobo and Carson and offense issues when the problems are on defense. We out talent every team we will play before the SEC championship. Could we lose one of those games? Sure. I don’t think we will. This offense will keep us in any game. I think we have a team that should get to the playoffs. Let’s see what the DL and LB’s look like then.

I don’t really care if we lose a game or not. This is the best 4 year run UGA has ever had. I would love another one but but I’m enjoying this season which is literally just a cherry on top of the prior three seasons. Any UGA fan being critical of this team needs to have their fan card pulled.

We have a shot until we lose twice. We are not as good as last year right now, but teams change based on injury status and experience, so you never know. One thing that has to change is Mike Bobo's playcalling in the first quarter. Screen passes and bludgeoning our RBs into a stacked box are NOT working. No matter how much we want to impose our will, we are not doing it. He has to get more creative.

In 2022 we barely beat Kent St & Mizzou in back to back weeks.

Everyone was calling Georgia fraudulent. Three weeks later we crushed #1 Tennessee and never looked back

UGA is the best team but I don’t think there is a truly great team in America right now.

It's not a good team compared to the last two years. It's still a title contender until proven otherwise.

bullshite. Winning SEC games by an average of four touchdowns over the last two years has spoiled some folks.

It’s a good football team, what hasn’t been determined if is a great football team. A lot of football left to be played by a lot of different teams.

I mean:
-USC almost lost to Colorado
-OSU should’ve lost to ND
-UM hasn’t played anyone
-OU hasn’t played anyone
-Texas hasn’t looked all that elite since Bama

Who else is left? Washington looks terrifying offensively, but their defense is questionable.

I agree UGA isn’t where they’ve been but they don’t play anyone and I’m not sold on anyone else in the SEC so how do they catch two losses to keep themselves out of the playoffs?

As others have said, we have a good football team but not elite as we did in the last couple of years due to several reasons.

I’m not confident we go undefeated and coast to the playoffs, but I also think our best games are ahead.
