We used all our sooner magic for the foreseeable future in our CWS run. I wanna say "don't care. Won a natty" but damn this fall is rough. It's gonna take some time to build that reservoir or magic back up.

Is OU even capable of having sustained success in a conference where it isn't them, one other good school, and a bunch of nobodies that they can beat up on to inflate their record? Returns are still early but it is trending towards, "No."

And that other good school was down for over 10 years.

I think most rational OU fans did not think we would come into the SEC and do what we did in the Big XII. But we did think we would be a top 4-6 type program.

I still think that that is basically where OU teams under Stoops and Riley would have slotted most years. Maybe not every year.

Flat out... Venables is putting out a 1990s level OU product. And we are getting 1990s results.

And quite frankly... with NIL and free transfer... there is the possibility that OU can't ever get there again. (The new Nebraska thing).

But it is frustrating for OU (and Nebraska) fans to have to have their legacy teams trashed because they aren't currently performing in the SEC and Big 10.

Dude, this is the SEC Rant. Trashing legacy teams is what we do here. To listen to some of these fools Alabama has never won a legitimate NC. You just have to give as good as you get. OU's history stands on its own.

I didn't give a shite when Ole Miss won the College World Series.

College Baseball is a runt sport that nobody cares outside of a handful of states in the South.

SEC is tuff. Not like the days when Oklahoma and Nebraska were the only valid teams in your conference
