If you can't make the dance by fielding one of the top 64 teams in the country you're pretty sh*tty. The regular season doesn't matter. It's so bad no single regular season game can really make or break a teams chances to make it into the NCAAs. Winning a Conference Championship gets a nod but that's BS too because it's only one game a season. To me college BB is boring. GEICO commercials are more entertaining than college BB.

There's 350 D1 basketball schools meaning only 18% of the teams make it to the tournament. In football more than half of the 128 teams make it to a bowl game.

Honestly, I'm not gonna insult you over it and the regular season isn't all that meaningful. I like the opening round but after that it's pretty overrated. Upsets are fun but then they often make for crappy sweet sixteen and elite 8 games, with obvious exceptions like George Mason 2004.

And he's only contradicting his earlier argument, because that would mean you should care about the regular season and the regular season champ is more important becuase its an 18 game season instead of a "one game season" (which is also a completely stupid thing to say for different reasons)

Boring is 4 hours of truck commercials between fat guys huddling and every time a good play happens the ref calls it back with a yellow flag and reviews it for 15 minutes on replay.

Regular season matters for seeding and making the tournament
That's much more preferable than having your team drop a couple close game and effectively eliminated from the CFP
