The thing that I don't get about people who don't care about basketball is why they all feel the need to always talk about why they don't like basketball and tell us all why we shouldn't like basketball.

To e fair, we have a large fan base.

If you're going to go on a rant about it, it'd be best to at least be factual in that rant.

I mean this is about 95% of all Elite Basketball and football programs.
Unless they actually went there you rarely see Duke, UNC, UK or Kansas football fans.
Same can be said for Bama, Notre Dame, Clemson on the basketball side.

I'm not for the auto bids if you win your conference 4 day tourney and you pretty much sucked the whole season and had a so so season.
MTSU had a great season...was ranked in the top 25 at times this season. Teams have bad games which MTSU did but because they lost that 1 game in the tourney they are in the NIT. That's a case where the regular season didn't matter for MTSU.

That you are still complaining about it
Look, you can go back over the history of college football and find examples of it happening (NU is 2001 and OU in 2003)....... it is nothing new, and the fact that both times (in Alabama's case) it won shows that they were right in putting Alabama in........
however circumstances broke just right for Alabama both times...in 2011, OSU had to lose (and I think Oregon did too). Last year, if Auburn beats UGA in the title game, Alabama is out, if Ohio State beats (or does not lose as bad ) to Iowa, Alabama is out......

I was a college basketball fanatic from the late 70's through the late 90's, but now I can't stand it. The NCAA ruined the game.

Getting the NBA players association to agree to the MLB style draft rules is needed.
Anyone can be drafted out of HS but if the player doesn’t want to sign and goes to college they stay three years unless turning 21 within a certain number of days of the draft.
Let NBA teams invest in HS kids, let the kids that have no interest in college and only want to play ball go fo it in the G league if not good enough to make the NBA roster.

I'd like to seem them go to a NBA type format, take 16 teams and do a best of 3 or best of 5 series in each round.
The rest of the teams could then do the NCAA style tournament.
There should be at least a double bye for the top 4 seeds each bracket in the tournament to make the regular season more meaningful.

You might want to take a break from the boards the next few weeks if you hate college basketball. Just a thought

There's 350 D1 basketball schools meaning only 18% of the teams make it to the tournament. In football more than half of the 128 teams make it to a bowl game.
Please don't confuse the OP with facts.

OP is a ridge runner in a singlewide....there isn't a hoop within 50 mile radius of where he and his cousin are shacked up.

You're sure about that? He's a Alabama fan, so I'm sure there must be only 128 D1 basketball schools.....
