They have been telling everyone they are one of the big 12’s two best teams

But there are only 10 teams in the big 12 and the longhorns rank 7th out of 10 in wins over the last decade while playing the weakest power 5 opponents in all of college football:

Only 3 of the 10 big 12 teams have been worse in modern times, one is Kansas, can you name the other 2?

This definitely feels like a response thread.

Nobody is going to deny that the last decade has been one of the worst in Texas football history. They haven’t been good.

But if starting another thread about it makes you feel better about losing to App State at home last season, be my guest

ETA: Jesus, how many topics have you started about us?

The Aggie fans I've met IRL are actually pretty cool people.

I haven't met many Texas fans IRL, but the Texas fans that post on here are some pretty strange people.

It's been hard without auto-wins Nebraska, TAMU, Colorado, and Mizzou on the schedule.

Kansas, Iowa State, Baylor, Texas Tech, West Virginia what a gauntlet!

This definitely raises some legitimate ... not concerns because it'll all come out in the wash eventually but, it raises some legitimate points about UTA' .... nah, they're worthy. They're a state flagship university in the South, a former member of the Confederacy to some degree. Much of their portuon of the state are good people. Austin has its woke issues but still ... the SEC now owns Texas and that's a good thing.

Still, it does say some things about UTa in general that are worth being aware-of. Especially given how we all like to know the little things about our fellow members. Non-members can frick off and only wish they were pertinent enough to garner the attention.

So you're saying Texas needs auto wins to have a successful season. How oddly honest from a Texican.

After claiming to have had the worst decade in their history, I don’t know why Texas fans have any confidence that they could beat App St.

Ole Miss lost each of their last two bowl games to Baylor and Texas Tech. Neither of which were even close

Even in Texas' worst decade, they still lost to zero Group of 5 teams, so that doesn't track.

Nice try, though

That's only because the SEC grind wore Ole Miss down so much. Injuries don't happen in the Big 12.

Texas has been nothing since we left them. It is as if they lost the will to live when we left them. They had to come to us in hopes of reviving their program.

For a school that's "been nothing", how many threads are about the longhorns on the first page of this website right now?

Like another poster said before: it was depressing seeing a near-guaranteed win every season leave our schedule. Didn't miss the cultish fans, though.

You mean the SEC asked us to join and voted us in 14-0 despite your AD crying on camera at media days in 2021?

God what a great day watching aggies meltdown on twitter that was

Link?

Texas has played 1 FCS school in something like the last 30 years, and that was when CFB went from 11 to 12 games and we had to add someone on relatively short notice.

quote:

Only 3 of the 10 big 12 teams have been worse in modern times

Most people define modern CFB as after 1950. You are saying Texas has a worse record in this time period than all all but 3 Big 12 teams?!? You can't possibly believe this.

You can’t even expect a victory over Kansas anymore…

Texas... beat Kansas... by 41 on the road last year? And has beaten them 17 of the last 20 times?

Meanwhile, A&M against App State...

Not convincing - you just lost to Kansas at home the year before

And you lost to App State last year?

I'm convinced you have to be an alter because only an alter would self-own themselves as hard as you are right now
