I do not get how Texas A&M and Texas are not utterly loaded now and easily winning most games. All that oil money.

What is amazing to me is how much Marcel Reed has seemingly regressed. Is it the change of coordinators? He does not look like the same guy I saw last season.

Throwing money at a problem only gets you so far. At some point, talent evaluating and coaching has to work.

Aggie was never good. They had a soft schedule last year. Their only notable win was early against notre dame. We can call that a good matchup or a fluke. Played an sec schedule full of bottom feeders and teams that fired their coach. Then they lost to an above average Texas team and lost a home playoff game to eventual runner up miami. Their second and 3rd best performances were losses, and their 4th best performance was the nail in Brian Kelly's coffin.

They were a fraud last year. They never should've made the CFP and got insanely lucky. They needed the following just to make the CFP:
South Carolina and Beamer going full retard and blowing a 30-3 halftime lead.
The refs allowing them to get away with the most blatant hold of all time against ND. The OL literally tackled the DL who was about to sack Reed.
If South Carolina didn't go full retard and the refs actually did their job in the ND game, they would've missed the CFP.
Marcel Reed was the biggest fraud on last year's A&M team. Here were his numbers:
Total: 25 TD, 12 INT
Against Samford, Utah State, and UTSA: 10 TD, 0 INT
Against SEC/Miami/ND: 15 TD, 12 INT

Not sure if it’s been all season since I haven’t watched much A&M, but in LSU game, it seemed like they were trying to make Reed a pocket QB.
Outside of the first drive where Reed ripped off a 10-12 yard gain on a QB draw, I don’t remember too many designed QB runs.

I don’t think Reed is any worse. Last year the skilled people around him were exceptionally good and they won with defense as well. Reed is who he is.

They had an easy schedule last year...the two teams they played that were legit good beat them...Texas and Miami.
