Go look at what Matt Corral did his first two years at Ole Miss under Luke and what he did in year 1 under Kiffin. Massive improvement. he had two bad games, one against LSU and one against Arkansas. He shredded Alabama and Florida, the East and West champs, and everyone else on the schedule. He had over 3300 yards and 29 TDs in 10 games and another 500+ yards rushing. Ole Miss was 7th nationally in passing offense and 14th nationally in scoring offense in year 1

And besides all that, if Leavitt can't get it done, then there are two other options on the roster.
The odds are high that Kiffin + one of them can be at least serviceable.
