I see a lot of my fellow LSU fans glad we may not have to play Alabama or Florida every year now.

Not nearly as glad as Nick S. evidently.

I can honestly say as a Georgia fan right now, with a 12 team playoff coming, if UF, Auburn and Tennessee were three of the top five teams in the conference and they were permanently on the schedule, I'd be fine.

Weird that Nick is worried about that.

It is absolutely disgusting. Hopefully this is a short bridge to a 9 game schedule to preserve the DSOR. UGA and Auburn should threaten to leave the conference if that one goes away, as should Bama and UT

1. LSU doesn’t have a rival

2. LSU will play each team every 2 years, which is enough for me

3. UGA doesn’t get to hide in the regular season anymore

How have things been for ya, UGA Alum/LSU Phsteven?

With where college football is headed, it was inevitable.

Rivalries are the most enduring and endearing parts of CFB. If you jeopardize those you jeopardize the sport.

It seems folks are pushing for expansion and with that comes changes we won’t like. SEC teams will still play one another but maybe not as often as we’re used to, but we will still play.

When we left the SWC the only regret I had was losing the texas game and we lost it unless it was a bowl until recently.

We must either adapt or move on.

could be worse. You could’ve lost all your rivalries and be stuck playing random schools from places that have 0 identify to yours.

Their real authentic "Rival" just beat USC in the Cotton Bowl.

Put them back in the SEC and the Tigers can once again close the season with Green Vanderbilt (Because of Academics) of the West.........

So, when will it cycle back around, pray tell? We've beaten Georgia 3 times in 18 years....many of those years I didn't even watch the game because I and everyone else knew what was coming.

This ... is awesome.

If DSOR goes away it will kill a lot of my enthusiasm for college football.

You were definitely a NeverToYield member. You can probably can recite all our players on our entire "Punt Bama Punt" roster to your fellas during badminton night. And then when we lose you get all mad yelling at the tv like the ref had sworn his soul to the devil to make sure we didnt win.

You didn’t graduate from LSU, so it doesn’t really matter.

Anyone voting for 8 games has no appreciation for the history of this conference.

It surprises me, frankly. Aubs hung tough against Nick, but apparently y’all have beaten them into permanent submission.

I mean, not really. I just believe in schedule equality. Texas A&M, bama, and LSU hardly ever play the Top team in the East. We have to play them every year. We'd still play UGA every 2 years with the proposed format.

So what you’re saying is that Jimbo’s contract is the product of a top-notch AD? Noted.

SW did what he had to do to get Jimbo to CSTX because that's what the brass at ATM told him to do. When you're tasked with trying to sell a place with zero pedigree to a national title winning coach at a blue blood school, the only option is to spend stupidly.

Then, as an encore, ATM bid against itself to keep Jimbo after SW was at LSU and no one was coming for him.

I completely agree, but sadly it would never happen.

I used to think that there were a few things that were sacred in CFB. But based on the trajectory, I don’t think anything is safe anymore. The speed run towards bland corporatism continues.

1+7 is only for 2024 and 2025. DSOR and TSIO will still be played.
