“Jalen Hurts joined Johnny Manziel as the only other player in the past 15 years to throw for 300 yards and three scores and run for 150 and three scores in a game.”
Would you take Jalen or Johnny as your QB?

Is this a serious question?

Does the QB come as a package deal with either a QB whisperer or a drunk coat-rider?

Is Johnny on or off cocaine?

I would honestly take Jalen because of the intangibles and because Johnny is a douche. Way too early to compare Hurts to a Heisman winner though.

Hurts runs seemingly effortlessly; and results speak for themselves.

Does one of them come with the receiver that continually bailed him out on wild, reckless throws?

Jalen. His attitude and character is light years above Johnny

Give me Hurts. Dude runs effortlessly. Doesnt overact and celebrate. Just trolls into the endzone, hands the ref the ball and focuses on the next play.
frick Manziel.
And only one of them has beaten LSU.

Hurts just looks smooth when he's scrambling. If he gets the corner or breaks into open field, he's got another gear. Tennessee saw it firsthand.

During their prime? Johnny.

Well yeah, that's why I was asking.

Kind of funny how much people are overreacting to how Hurts played against a god awful Houston defense that is learning a completely new system this season. They are still the defense that gave up 70 points to Army in their bowl game last year.

Houston is a God awful defense...most QBs can put 300 on them. Including Franks

Honestly Manziel was the better college QB. He did amazing things with his feet and arm. He was a douche in the NFL but awesome in college. He did have Mike Evans to bail him out from time to time but the mid-level and deep passes to Swopes were a thing of beauty. Guy could flat plat in college.
I would take Manziel in college over Hurts. That’s just me. Let’s see how Hurts throws the deep ball against better defenses. That was the reason he lost his job at Bama. People round here have short memories.

JM in his prime never won squat.Oh! Right. He killed his pro day. When he was wearing shorts / t shirt and was being chased by a broom.
