I'd take Johnny. Hurts is probably a much better qb but when Johnny played you just waited and expected something magical or incredible would happen and more times than not it would.

When Johnny played I wanted to watch. I'd look for tv times for the TAMU games just to see him. He was fun to watch.

Hurts I could care less. He's a great qb but I don't go out of my way to watch him play

Hurts has t faced any big 12 defenses this year. Where do you come up with this crap at? It just oozes our your mouth like sperm.

He made some good plays, more than Lawrence did for sure. But I'd still take Lawrence over him as well. Hell there is a long list of QB's I'd take in front of Manziel really.

But anyway, as I recall in that game A&M caught Alabama off it's toes to start the game, then pretty much got shut down the rest of the game until the end.

As I've said multple times, it was their defense that won that game.

For the record, I also wouldn't take Stephen Garcia over Hurts.

yeah. I thought about it after I posted but didn't bother to edit because as unbelievable as it is, Houston's defense was even worse than most Big 12 defenses last season. #126 of 129 teams.

edit: Houston's defense was worse than any Big 12 team last year.

since you specifically mention Auburn, 2 years ago Hurts managed 112 yards and 14 points in a loss to Auburn.

A year later Tua threw for 324 yards and managed 52 pts in a blowout victory.

The point is that Hurts just did not play well vs good defenses.

I never once mentioned Auburn. They were a 3-9 team in 2012 and had a shitty offense. Alabama beat them 49-0 that year and they went 0-8 in the SEC.

If you think that is good data to compare good defenses with, then I quite frankly have nothing more to say to you.

You brought 3-9 Auburn into the discussion about good defenses. I mentioned LSU and Florida.

If you think a 3-9 Auburn team is relevant to the conversation, then I really have nothing to say to you.

what I think is that you've been shown to be wrong by several statistical posts in this thread and you're trying to spin out of it as best you can.

Do you need me to repeat my original statements, because I am happy to do so.

But sure, blame me because your dumbass brought a 3-9 Auburn team into a discussion as if it is a fair comparison. I have no time for that ignorance.

Manziel dropped 500 total yards on Bama, Hurts did it to Houston.

What's the best record JM had at A&M? JH was / is a champion as both a player and person. Stats are for losers and as a person, JF was willing to possibly throw his teammates under the bus for $1,700 in autograph money.

Stats are for losers in a one position comparison?

Give JM the Defense bama had in 2012 and 2013, and he coasts to a NC. C'mon.

I'll just say I'd rather LSU play against Manziel any day of the week over Hurts.

I'm a big Hurts fans and in a character contest give me Hurts all day. But Manziel was a better college qb than Hurts is.

If Johnny is still on the juice I’d take him if not I’d take Jalen.
