New Mexico has worst statical defense in FBS so its palpable to start Brown. AU SHOULD be able to run through that defense with basic run plays and blocking schemes.

You would think facing a horrid defense would be a nice spot for Thorne to get some of his confidence back and shake off the Cal game, seems a bit premature to make the switch this early. Regardless of QB, the offense will feast on the NM defense, overreactions will be fun to read regardless.
