Best QB hits in recent LSU - Bama games have been laid by LSU. Not like you'll be playing against Fainting Goats or something.

If Mett doesn't get injured before 11/3 Alabama will send him out of the game. You can bet Sick Naban will tell his boys to go for his knees.

Was Mett just demoted by the PSU Bolden?

The more I think about the more I think he was.

Why? Because Alabama injures every QB they play?

Unless Bama has suddenly gotten really dirty and just engages in a bunch of late hits, they hardly ever injure any QBs. They get QB pressure, but they don't injure guys.

We didn't play dirty last year, but Alabama knocked several QBs out of games and made others wish they were on the bench.

The dude is pretty big. He likely won't go down that easily.

Jarrett Lee was not the same QB he had been all year after he was rocked by Hightower in the November game.

Jarrett Lee played the same way his whole career. Scared to take a hit, threw off his back foot--lucky for him he had decent accuracy with a pretty good arm and a great running game.

Mett will have a better O-line (maybe only a little better but potentially way better). It remains to be seen how he will play in the SEC. But, I would bet anyone he will be better than Lee or Jefferson and we were 13-1 with them. I like the way season shapes up--hold on for the ride.

If I came here and gave homage to Alabama everyday, you would think that I was brilliant. Because I offer a different opinion from you, you think I'm dumb. Honestly, that says more about you than it does me.

Here I was actually taking up for Alabama and you go and ruin it!

Seriously, though, the whole "Alabama is going to knock Mett out of the game" is beyond stupid. If he gets hurt, it will most likely either be a freak thing or a dirty play. I don't see Alabama playing dirty, so then it becomes a freak thing, which could happen any game.

Despite what you might think, it is not like Alabama hits harder than anyone else in the SEC. Their advantage is that they are fast, well coached, and are in the right position to make plays. Everyone in the SEC hits hard - LSU included.

I agree Mett will be better than the two guys who just graduated, but frankly that is not setting the bar very high. LSU was the 106 ranked FBS team in passing offense last year, averaging just 3 more yards per game than Ole Miss. (155 ypg)

I think they need to average at least 200 yards a game in order to be balanced. With your offensive line and running game, play action passes ought to eat secondaries alive. If Jarrett Lee can lead the SEC in passing efficiency, Mett should lead the nation in that category.

If Mett is all you think he will be, I can't fault LSU fans for getting ahead of themselves. I expect they want to wash off the stink from that last game. Mett could lead the Tigers to the promised land, but he just might need someone to part the red sea for him. Is Les up to the task? We will find out in November.

Well, I have never seen him play, but I hope he's tougher than Ryan Mallet. That's the only QB that comes to mind when I hear about the size and arm of Mett. Mallet always seemed to be limping around especially in big games, but he could sling it. In a month I guess we will all get a good look at him and a lot of questions will then have answers.

Does the game of football really have to be explained to some of y'all? I understand the toughness question but it's ridiculous how some posters don't understand the game. Mett could break his neck on the first offensive series or the season. It has nothing to do with what team lsu is playing
